Hi guys,
It's an on and off thingy for me but I tend to have very high libido all the way until ovulation finishes including a few days after my period. But usually after ovulation, my libido goes right down and it feels like its switched off lol

Any advice?

No advice but I’m exactly the same and I actually feel quite obsessed and mad about with my dp during ovulation then it kind of goes away after and then it builds Back up again towards period starting!! Poor guy gets loads of attention then it goes cold for a few days !!

@Namechangeforthisone2023 Yes exactly. I just feel like its not fair on him. Or if i do get turned on it lasts for a few minutes and then switches off. I don't know if should change my diet/start excercising etc. Or maybe that's just how my body is :/

This is COMPLETELY normal. It's called a cycle for a reason!

Here's a guide I noted down from Dr Mindy Pelz (writes books/has a youtube about womens hormones and fasting with the cycle):

Day 1-9 - (post period) mental clarity, good time for decision making or conflict resolution
Day 10-15 - ovulation - the glow /feel sensual and want intimacy
Day 16-20- body is preparing for period, you'll be tired and will want that special 'princess' treatment be kind to yourself
day 21 onwards- your period, protect your energy

Take exact numbers with pinch of salt as we are all different, learn your own cycle! You can look up charts for guidance on different phases (follicular, luteal etc) or even better track with an app that gives insights (ive used flo for a while)

My advice is, accept that your hormones and moods change throughout the month. It's the most natural thing in the world. Educate yourself and your partner and you'll have a much stronger relationship.

@ilovemydogmore I see. Thank you for this! I guess I should just tune into my cycle a little more. Hasn't really posed a problem but I'll do some reaearch on the different phases

I’ve posted about this before under a previous name that my day 16 is very flat and it affects my relationship and I actually have very negative thoughts about things which is not me
ive tried various hormone vitamins etc to try and balance this out a bit

@Namechangeforthisone2023 have you tried eating to match your cycle stage? This could help

We are not smaller, less hairy men! We are women and we are different And wonderful.
And so many of us are on hormonal contraception that many women don’t know what a ‘normal’ cycle feels like - in terms of desire.
Try to accept your self. Men are fertile constantly. Personally i think that would be worse.
