I’m currently in my tww and this is cycle 14. I feel exhausted. My partner has some thyroid problems and was told at a young age he can’t have kids (which isn’t 100% because another doctor said he can have kids) but he hasn’t had it checked yet. We’re currently taking a more relaxed approach and I’m not tracking anything so not sure when I ovulated, I only know I’m about 3-4dpo. I have zero expectations of a positive test I guess we’re just seeing what happens until we’re ready to start getting medical help. Hopefully one day we get pregnant naturally and don’t have to do ivf.

Hi @emmatcc1 sorry to hear it’s been difficult, we’re in a really similar position (DP has an under active thyroid, we’ve been trying for more than a year) and I agree, it’s absolutely exhausting the more months that go by! DP’s thyroid condition seems to be under control and tests have all come back ok, so it’s definitely worth getting tests done for you both. If you’re UK based, Superdrug offer an affordable sperm test if he’s not eligible for NHS yet. I’m no expert and of course it depends on his condition but I thought with the right medication, you can still fall pregnant…sending you baby dust x

@emmatcc1 I strongly recommend you get a full sperm test done for your OH as soon as possible as well as blood tests for yourself, it's exhausting TTC for so long, and if you do need assistance it's best to just no. There's no reason not to keep trying whilst you wait for answers but please don't torture yourselves, and get going with tests so you can make an informed decision xx

@Barbs3116 @moosey89 If I don’t fall pregnant this year then we’re getting tests done as we’re not really ready on all the testing and medical help. Also I recently found out my mom carries a gene mutation that gives you higher chances of getting breast cancer so I’m waiting to get tested for it that’s why we’re not really trying but not preventing either. We do have time on our side since we’re both in our 20s so no need to rush anything.
