9dpo BFN, losing hope

Hello. I am 9dpo, AF due on Sunday (5 days). Received a BFN with FMU and did another test this afternoon and again, BFN. Did anyone go on to have a BFP at 10dpo? Feeling devastated as I miscarried but we weren’t even trying, now desperately trying and seeing a BFN is heartbreaking!

Forgot to mention, took both tests with a clearblue early detection.

Hi OP, I didn't get a BFP until 12DPO and even then only a faint line! Crossing fingers for you x

LW678 · 29/08/2023 16:27

Hello! Was that on an early detection test? X

I’m also 9DPO with a negative this morning. Feeling cramps like just before my period so feeling like I’m already out. I’ll keep testing the next few days and fingers crossed for us both.

WeeOrcadian · 29/08/2023 16:38

You're likely testing too early. Also, your cycles may be squiffy due to the MC

Wait a few days and test again, using FMU

LW678 · 29/08/2023 16:45

@Wish23 feeling the same cramps, very mild but very period like. I have read this could be due to the uterus stretching though? Are you testing on an early detection?

@WeeOrcadian hadn’t even thought of that, thank you for your response

I used an easy@home one which I’ve seen people get results on at 9DPO. I do have a clearblue and a boots early but didn’t want to waste them! Just have that gut feeling I’m out again, I know my PMS symptoms well and my cramps are right on cue so far.

LW678 · 29/08/2023 17:11

I’ve ordered a pack of 20 easy@home from Amazon which should be arriving tomorrow. Don’t lose hope, some people with no symptoms go on to get a BFP. When we weren’t trying and I conceived the only symptom which made me think I could be pregnant was major bloating which started a couple of days before I was due

Are you even sure it's 9 DPO? Have you tracked your ovulation with tests only?

Olivia199 · 29/08/2023 19:16

The very earliest I've gotten a positive is the equivalent of 9dpo after a transfer of a hatching blast. That was in the evening on a FRER and I could absolutely be convinced it wasn't there. The other one was the equivalent of day 10. My best friend who also had IVF at the same time got hers on 12dpo. It's so very early. I've done a million Google searches for when you can get a positive as I'm a chronic early tester and my day 9 was considered out of the ordinary. Good luck!

Peachpicklepie · 29/08/2023 19:24

I tested negative dpo 9 with all three of my pregnancies. Two tested positive dpo 10, and the other one not until dpo 12.

Peony654 · 29/08/2023 19:26

I only got BFP on day AF was due / 14 dpo. Negative day before. There’s a reason they say to test on the day AF is due…

LW678 · 29/08/2023 19:35

Thank you everyone, feeling a bit more hopefully. It’s so devastating seeing a negative test after reading so many others having a positive at 9dpo, it especially doesn’t help when the clearblue early detection pregnancy states that 79% of pregnancies are positive 5 days before expected period!

Hello! I was 11dpo and had BFNs up until that point. Unfortunately it quickly changed to a chemical maybe a day or two later 😢 … this was November and here we are still trying! We tried for a long time before then too 😩 hoping you have just tested early my lovely. I’m currently 7DPO and my only symptom is constant rock hard nipples 😂😂😂 I’m not even sure this is a thing but it’s very unusual for me so who knows!?

LW678 · 29/08/2023 19:45

Haha we are all on symptom watch in the 2 week wait, I was convinced I felt sick when I was 1DPO 😂. Fingers crossed for you, when are you testing? Sending baby dust your way x

Hahaha honestly trying for babies sends us women into overdrive! I’m adamant each month is a yes, until it’s a clear no and then I’m like.. why have I done this to myself 😂 once again the only person that’s disappointed me is myself and my own silly expectations… but again we have to have hope so I continue with the never ending cycle each month lol.
Since the chemical, I won’t ever test until maybe 13dpo so like one day before AF as it was a surprise and a disappointment last time which I’d like to avoid with super early testing. Tbh AF normally arrives with spotting around 3-4 days before so I can typically assume I’m out at that stage and the test is more protection to manage expectations before pains kick in! I have endometriosis so AF has always been a bit of a painful subject unfortunately.

Youre definitely not out of the possibility yet this month though! It’s still too early at 9dpo x

LW678 · 29/08/2023 21:41

Sorry to hew about your chemical, keep me updated once you’ve tested!
