How common is it really for a HPT to not pick up pregnancy straight away.

I am cd 31 with no sign of AF.
Tested today and got a BFN feeling really gutted.

Is there still hope that I could be pregnant and the HPT didn,t pick it up.

Can I have all your experiences of not finding out your pregnant until further along.

with my first pregnancy got a bfn @ 5 wks
didnt find out till i was 7 wks

Do you know how far ovulation you are?

When I was 8, 9, 10, 11 days past ovulating I got BFNs with DS2,

but on 13 DPO i got a +

I was thinking you about this morning, wondering if you'd got an answer yet, you poor thing, still not knowing. You get to the point after a while where you think you'd be as relieved at your period coming as anything is better than the limbo don't you?!

There is still hope, have mentioned I was 9 days late before I got a BFP, and others have been much later still.

Wish I could be of more help, but there really is nothing to do other than wait it out, and keep banging on on MN about it of course!

I haven't got a clue when I ovulate.

I am ttc without opk's, temping, etc, I fell pregnant within 2 cycles last time by just hoping to strike lucky.

I am alot older now though.

I feel very negative atm.

You are bound to have ups and downs, it really is a shitty time.

Can you plan a nice evening with DP/H? A good DVD, maybe a glass of wine (or a few?!! ) chocolate? Anything that will give you a bit of a break from thinking about it.

What does cd stand for? I am guessing something day

NAB, CD is cycle day (i.e. number of cycle days since the first day of your last period)

BFM, don't worry, not many people can be so relaxed about it happening, or not. And although the advice rolled out is to do just that, relax, it is nigh on impossible.

Was it you I sent the link to for the ultra early tests? They say they can pick up HCG from 10ml, I don't know for sure if they are as good as they claim, but it might be worth getting some (I think you can get them on eBay for a couple of pounds as well) They may not work, but at least it would give your mind a slightly different trail of thought until they arrive.

I think that is one of the problems, you can't stop thinking about it, but there isn't actually that much you can think about at the moment, the same few sentances just keep going around and around.

cd 32 today still no AF.

I have a feeling that I am simply just going to miss one.

I am feeling really annoyed about it, how dare it mess me around again like last time.

I did buy some ultra sensitive tests off ebay which were 10ml.
Tested yesterday with them but BFN.

I will test again in a few days if no AF just in case.

Hi bfm - mine didn't show up on a hpt until day 41 (a full week past my period due date).

Just posted you on another thread, my AF came this morning feel really !

Theres still hope for you if Af hasn't arrived! How long are your cycles again, have you had to wait this long before it arrives? If not id go and see your GP, he maybe able to give you some answers or give you a blood test! If its any consolation with my DD i didn't get a positive until 7 weeks! xxx

i am guessing that as i came off the pill on jan23rd to start trying that it has messed up cycle!!

Could have done PinkGirl. When I came off the pill before I had dd my cycles increased by a day every month. Started off at 27 days and by the time I caught 9 months later was 35 days!
