Ovulation after Letrozole

Hi all,

I took letrozole for the first time this month (CD2-6). I am now on CD8 and feel as though I'm about to ovulate (flashing "high on OPK and early signs of fertile discharge). I usually ovulate 2 weeks after my period and am booked in for a scan next week to line up with that prediction. I am then due to take cyclogest 1DPO.

My question is: does letrozole cause you to ovulate significantly earlier? I'm not sure what to do if so, do I take cyclogest from day10 of my cycle (rather than day 16 as planned). Unfortunately I can't get a scan before next week either.

Any advice re previous experience would be great!

Thanks 😊

Leteozole will often make you ovulate earlier, but don't forget you don't actually ovulate until at least 24 hours after you get a positive ovulation test, but it can be 48 hours after you get a positive. You'll want to make sure that you don't start taking the cyclogest before you ovulate as it can stop your ovulation. If you get a positive ovulation test, wait 48 hours then do the cyclogest (unless you have a scan sooner that definitely confirms you ovulated)

Thanks @LavenderSweetPea! Still just "high" today so hopefully won't need to start cyclogest for another few days.
