What could be happening? 🤷‍♀️

I'm 22 days late never ever been this late before and I'm not sure what to think or feel. So any advice or stories from your own experiences I would appreciate.

As I said I'm 22 days late, I usually have a 32ish day cycle give or take a few days. I have a period which typically lasts 2 or 3 days.

Of course my period didnt show so waited around a week just incase it was a blip in my cycle then tested to confirm if it was due to being pregnant or not. I took two tests both a day apart and they came back stark white negative. Then left it as it was just a blip in my cycle.

Last Wednesday I started having cramps in my right groin area, not painful but quite uncomfortable at times so I thought ooh period must be coming. Nothing came until Friday when I went to the toilet and noticed a few light red/browny spots on my underwear, put a pad on. Checked later and nothing was on my pad. Yesterday i had nothing, no spotting or anything until later on at night when I went to the toilet and wiped and it was reddy brown again, only a little bit brown on my underwear. Then today again nothing all morning until late afternoon when I go to the toilet and I've got browny red on my underwear (nothing major) then when I wiped it was browny and slightly red. see photo below, sorry if tmi

I just don't know what could be happening, I of course will try and get in at the doctors but I just feel they will fob me off and say wait until youve missed so many periods.

But I want to rule out if any of you think its implantation? Ovulation? Period?

I forgot to add, I wasn't wearing a pad at all apart from the Friday as it wasn't enough to wear one. However everytime I wiped after going to the toilet it was reddy brown in colour...

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along directly, but I just read your post and wanted to say hello and agreed, it's strange, particularly the complete neg test. I would be more inclined to think implantation bleed if the test was +ve, but wait a few days and test again. With my 2nd DC, I tested a few times, all -ve but I was late and boobs tender, and then bang, it was suddenly +ve. I hope you get an answer either way soon x

I'm afraid I'm not much help, went through something similar and never really got an answer. I was usually 35-42 day cycles, but when DH and I started TTC I missed an entire period. I did talk and hassle the doctor once I should have had the next period after the missed one and they arranged an ultrasound. I got my period before the scan but through the scan I got started down the path of being diagnosed with PCOS. My cycles stayed at around 65-72 days for the next year (until I was put on letrozole to make me ovulate again) but nobody was ever able (or apparently interested) to tell me why it all changed all of a sudden. I'll find out next month if my periods are back to normal after nearly a year on meds or if they just revert back to extremely long cycles.
