High motility but low morphology (sperm)

Hi all - we have been starting our IUI journey and my husbands sperm count and stats have been very variable. 1st IUI - 99 percent motility and 30 mill count with 5% morphology. Sadly we didn’t conceive that cycle. This cycle all the stats just fell - within a few weeks. 2% morphology and 90% motility. Doctors said sworn sample was “sub optimal” but we went ahead as count was good. I don’t know how this changes in a few weeks - anything we can do about it before our next cycle (if we need it!). He is taking Impryl and Vit D but probably wasn’t as regular with the impryl last month. Hi much does morphology effect chances of insemination or is count and motility more important ??

Morphology is the shape and appearance of the sperm. Even samples deemed excellent will have many sperm that have unsatisfactory morphology. It's the count and progressive motility that are important.
