Letrozole - round 1

After two rounds of unsuccessful non medicated IUI, we have gone into our first cycle with letrozole. I usually have long cycles, around 35 days but this cycle (letrozole), I went in for a scan on day 12 and had a 16mm follicle. I hadn't even started testing for ovulation as I thought it would be too early but this morning's scan has taken me by surprise. I wanted to put out there to see how other's experiences have been on first round of letrozole. Does it really move your ovulation ahead by 4-5 days ? Doctor says I might ovulate in the next few days which means suddenly my cycles will come down to 30 days which has never happened before. My current OPKs are negative.

Just very confused atm, but of course keeping my hopes high for this cycle. Any positive experiences to share on letrozole ? Thank you.

Absolutely, get testing with your OPKs! I had basically non-existant cycles before taking Letrozole (4 months was my shortest gap between periods, and I dont think I ever ovulated). Whilst taking Letrozole I had a reliable 28-33 day cycle.
