I really am not down with the lingo, but anyway, I'm not due on for another 8 days. Sore boobs Sunday, far less so yesterday and today, barely noticeable, only paying attention because of Sunday and it not having gone. Also gassy (nice). Tested this morning because I'm a bit obsessive and we aren't on any BC, is that a BFP??

Is this even real?!

8 days before period is due to very early. Most tests will only pick up earliest 6 days before. But that's based on a standard length cycle. Do you know when you ovulated? It definitely looks positive though.

Erm around 11-13th Aug?! I really am not good at this stuff

Yep, that's a line.

If you have long cycles and/or ovulate early in your cycle, it's entirely possible to get a bfp this early.

If that's a low sensitivity test, which it looks like it is (20-25miu, it shoukd tell you in the leaflet), you should be able to get a positive on a digital. You can wait a day or 2 then take a digital that will just tell you in words so there's no doubt.
