Can anyone recommend a brand of cheapie? I was using Femometer but kept getting evaps. Trying mom-med this cycle and same issue.

Currently breastfeeding so I have irregular cycles. Currently cd22. It's so annoying to have to work out if the line has colour, rather than there just being no colour. I don't think I've actually ovulated yet so pretty sure this is an evap, in spite of being in the 5 mins

I assume you mean OPKs not pregnancy tests?

Just buy a reusable saliva type. I never got a dark line on opk's, even though I do ovulate. I could always read the saliva one though and after 13yrs TTC- it saved me £££'s.

Mine is called 'maybe Baby' but I bought it abroad and other brands are available. Like a tiny microscope, you put a drop of saliva on, let it dry then look at the shapes the dried saliva makes. A fern shape is fertile.

Thanks @SM4713 , I need more opks too, but I mean the HCG ones

@CycleGirl20 I always up the saturation on the photo to see if the line pulls pink. It never does 😅 was using easy at home for a while, countless evaps (all grey)

I switched to using clear and simple early detection (from savers, £1 a test) a couple of cycles ago and have had 1 evap from those I think (after an hour or so).

Mine from this morning looked maybe slightly pink, but it is super hard to tell when they're faint.

So I just upped the saturation on one of the photos (see below, first pic saturation upped and second unedited, you can see the difference)

Ahh, sorry. I used onestep cheapies from I think ebay or amazon. Not the best though. Very faint and slow, even when I was pregnant, I got false positives, false negatives and there was an entire dud batch! I always used to follow up with branded FRER's. I'm sure people recommended a different cheap brand, but I cannot recall the name. I hopeful bump for you.

I used easy@home pregnancy tests and they were brilliant. Didn't show any evaps at all and I got a positive at 10dpo as they're quite sensitive. I then followed up with the boots early result when I thought I had a positive.

Easy@home are good at not giving off evaps or indents but they are super slow to show a line compared to some others. I had a very clear positive on a FRER at 9dpo and a positive CB digital at 10dpo but the easy@home was barely there. It's now showing a pretty clear line at 11dpo. At 9dpo for a cheapie one step came up within the time frame and pink.

so if you just want a yes or no answer when your period is due easy@home are perfectly fine. If you want quick and early results I would say one step is best
