Hi looking for an easy to understand breakdown of testing please!

We are starting TTC baby number 2, I came off the pill in June and have downloaded Flo and premom and purchased ovulation testing strips.

I had a period in July which was a 43 day cycle and I’m now on CD4. My question is when do I start testing? Premom is telling me ovulation will be 15th September and Flo says 12th although I’m aware it could take me a while to get back into a normal cycle.

we never went down this route with our first and I’m finding it a bit difficult to get my head round 😅

I'd say start testing on cycle day 8. You're very unlikely to get a positive for at least the first few days, especially if your cycles are longer. Mine were all over the shop and I sometimes disn't get a positive until day 25 or so, but at least if you test every day you know you haven't missed it. If the strips start getting close to positive, up the testing to two a day (morning and late afternoon) just to be sure you catch the peak.

That’s great thank you! 😊
