I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. I got a bfp about a week later but it was very faint and started bleeding the next day (I was a couple of days late for my period). I assumed I had a chemical pregnancy due to the faintness of the line and obviously the bleeding m. It's been about a week since then so started up the clear blue dig OPKs and have a VERY strong second line and static smiley but am still bleeding a little.

I was just wondering if anyone had a similar situation? I am planning on doing a pregnancy test once I need to pee again but I can't imagine it would be ok given the amount I've been bleeding this week. Honestly hate TTC sometimes. I'm feeling really down/confused.

Hi @mrspeanutbutter unfortunately this does sound like a CP. I had a very similar outcome 2 cycles ago. I don't know why but I did an opk after the bleeding and it was very high (apparently LH tests can pick up on leftover hcg) it settled down after a week or so and hit a peak as normal a couple of weeks later when I ovulated again. I think you have to listen to your body and if the bleeding was heavy enough then I'm sorry to say it probably was a chemical. (No harm doing hcg test in a few days just to confirm) I've read lots of hopeful stories about successful BFPs very soon in cycles after CPs though so fingers crossed for you 🤞

Thanks for the reply @Sez281. I've just done a pregnancy test and it's now a really strong second line. I agree with you, it would be very surprising if it turned out ok but it's strange that the second line has got so much darker over the past week. I'm booked in at the gp later this afternoon. I feel like my head's all over the place so I really appreciate the reply. Thank you x

Wow @mrspeanutbutter that's a very strong line! how long did your bleeding last? I could be totally wrong about the CP! My hcg test was neg almost immediately (only the opk was high) Really hoping I am wrong and your gp can can shed some more light on it with bloods etc. fingers crossed for you, keep me updated as it does sound tentatively hopeful 🤞🤞

Thanks @Sez281. The Gp did some preliminary tests and has booked me in for a scan at the early pregnancy unit at the hospital to find out what's going on.

I'm feeling quite down about it. I hope I don't have to wait too long to find out.
