No ovulation after miscarriage?

Anyone else have a miscarriage and not ovulate before their period came back? I had surgical management 4 1/2 weeks ago, bleeding stopped after 2 weeks, negative pregnancy test after 3 weeks, and I've been spotting the last 2 days and today have what looks like the start of my period. I definitely haven't ovulated though as I have been tracking and not had a positive. Just feel a bit perplexed that I didn't ovulate when so many people seem to get pregnant again before they even have a period! For reference I had surgical management of a missed miscarriage at 10+4.

I know it's hard but try not to pressure yourself, I had my mmc in may and all I heard was how fertile I would be, how everyone seemed to conceive again super fast, and it really messed my head up that I wasn't conceiving.... I feel much more relaxed now... 3rd cycle ttc so fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks @Kellyaust this is my second MMC, and I just want my hormones to be back to normal! I didn't mind not getting pregnant right after, to be honest I think it would have killed me with anxiety not knowing exact dates haha but it's so frustrating not even ovulating, that's my bigger issue x

As far as I know it says you "can" ovulate, but obviously that doesn't mean you definitely will. My mmc was 5th may and I didn't ovulate until the 18th june 🤷‍♀️ I'm sure after this af you'll be back to normal 🤞

@moosey89 I had a natural miscarriage on the 24th of July, then 1st period 3 weeks later, now technically on day 17 of this cycle and still haven't ovulated. I've been checking everyday since I stopped bleeding after the miscarriage. Also really wishing it would happen sooner, so many people seem to ovulate straight after, I expected that you had to ovulate to have a period!? Have you had any luck yet?

@capetownclaire I didn't ovulate before my period came back (came back like a day after I posted this!). I'm now in my first full cycle since and ovulated on day 14/15 - I've put a heap of emphasis on to regulating my cycles, including reflexology and acupuncture, no clue if these are what has helped but my cycle does seem to be back on track x

@moosey89 thanks for the info! Glad yours is back on track. I'm seeing my acupuncturist on Friday so hopefully that helps!

@capetownclaire hope it helps you - I definitely feel like it's helped me! It's also helped my anxiety about getting things back to normal as well, which is a useful added benefit :) x
