Test line darker than control line

Hi?

Is this unusual. I did two tests and both were darker than the control line. They are the boots early detection tests. My period is not due for another 4 days.

Thanks, I thought I'd only get a faint line, if any, as I'm testing early. This is our first month trying after a miscarraige last year.

Yikes😲, that's both terrifying and exciting.

Line is getting darker🙂. Used a cheap test too just to be sure.

Fingers crossed for a sticky bean.

Not feeling good about this pregnancy now. Had a pain in lower left abdomen the past couple of days and my nausea has disappeared today. Had a miscarraige last year so worrying this pregnancy won't go well either.

Also read that high hcg can indicate Downs Syndrome. Worried as I got a dark positive days before period was due☹️

@maryd84 I know it's hard but try not to worry too much. Cramping in early pregnancy is completely normal, it's the hormones as well as yoir uterus stretching.

The boots tests are very sensitive, so your hcg isn't necessarily as high as you think it is. If you implanted early and have a high ish base level beta hcg (up to 5 is normal) then it's possible for you to be at 40miu by 12dpo with normal 48-hour doubling. You say it was 4 days before yoir period, but do you know how many dpo you were/are?

Then there's the possibility you actually fell on the previous cycle (even if you weren't trying, could it be possible), or that it's twins.

15 July first day of last period
01 Aug ovulating according to my tracking app. Also had ewcm at this time. (Had sex 30 July and 01 Aug).
08 Aug had what I thought felt like implantation pains.
11 Aug positive pregnancy test.
15 Aug period due according to my app.

Hopefully the cramps are nothing to worry about. The nausea is back with a vengeance today.
