12 dpo BFN - gutted!!

Well I'm 12 DPO this morning, no signs of AF who is due to arrive in 4 days. BBT and cervix where they should be and had a few symptoms that I'm pregnant (cramps, headache, heightened sense of smell) although have been doing my best not to spot and dwell on them.
Tested this morning with Easy and Home and FRER and BFN. Stark white on both. Not even a snif!! Im absolutely devastated.
Not really writing for advice just need to gey this out and a little support. I never thought TTC could be be so hard 😪 💜

It's awful and soul destroying when you see nothing happening isn't it. How long have you been ttc?

We started trying 18 months ago but stopped for about 6 months after our 9th failed cycle of trying due to other circumstances which were causing too much stress. This is our 2nd cycle after returning and its just so hard. Im 36 and we are trying for our first child and im just so worried we have missed the boat and im too old.

Have you been for any tests at all?

This was my last attempt before contacting the doctors. Been in denial thinking it will happen this time. But its time to speak to a professional and get some tests 😔

I would wait - I didn’t get a faint positive until 15 dpo (day AF was due).

Definitely get some tests done, it could be something really simple that can easily be resolved, also your partner needs sperm analysis too... The focus is put on us a lot

Thank Peony654 This is the first test I have done this cycle, im normally terrible from 9 dpo testing everyday. But held off this time thinking I was giving myself half a chance. Af due on Wednesday and I'm like clockwork so will see what happens then and try hot to test in between.

Kellyaust, I know I'm silly for not going sooner really. Im just terrified it will confrim something us really wrong with us. Not to mention the stress if getting past the bulldog on out doctors reception desk 🙈! Your right though if no BFP cycle need to get the ball dolling at the docs.

It's normal to have the feeling you do now so many of us are the same, but stress plays a BIG part as well, best thing you can do is concentrate on seeing the gp and making sure you're both healthy as can be. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Thank you!! I know. I cant belive how easy I thought getting pregnant would be when I was younger. Its such a struggle for so many of us!

We have a toddler, conceived in February again but miscarried in may so everythings up in the air at the moment. Still trying again but no luck so far. It's a very hard journey ❤️

You're not old, honestly you haven't missed the boat, i had my first baby at 41 years old.

I've given myself a good talking to and had a big cuddle and cry with my dog.

Ive decided that Its not over until the crimson witch arrives and I choose to stay hopeful until then. Thank you all for your comments. You have really helped me today, exactly why I love this page 💜.

Hi is there any update? I am also 10/11 dpo and been testing sigh! And guess what BFN! Tnf i haven't had any symptoms at all.

Hi @Mas05 had some light spotting this morning so think AF is coming 3 days early for me this cycle - gutted 😔.
