OPK after a missed period

Hi all,

I'm on month 10 TTC with my first, fairly regular cycles (usually 32 days) and have been using Clear Blue digital OPKs. I was due on last week (now on cycle day 39) and have taken 4 pregnancy tests which were all negative.

I'd say the last month has been more stressful than usual which may be a factor in the delay, I also had an MMR vaccine in early July too - could this be the cause? Has anyone experienced something similar?

I normally use the Flo app to predict my fertile days, but as my period hasn't arrived yet it's deleted all the future predictions. Any suggestions on when to start using the OPKs this month?

Thanks in advance! xx

Most brands advise starting to use opks around day 7-8 for the first month, and until you get an idea of the pattern. After a while you can start using them a little later in the month. If you've not had a period, then I'd say wait until after you do so you get a proper full cycle of tracking in.

The only time I've ever had a late period was during a time of high stress, so it's definitely possible. I don't know anything about the vaccine though I'm afraid x

@moosey89 Thanks for your reply! Fingers crossed my period does eventually arrive and then I can start testing again. I do think it may be stress related x
