Help with ovulation tests (Premom)

Morning everyone!

So I came off the pill in June and since then I haven't had a period (nothing new for me). Anyhoo... I had some ovulation tests delivered yesterday to go with the Premom app I've downloaded and as I'm I'm limbo, decided to test this morning.

Now I'm confused. It says Low, which I accept - but what is deemed peak/high in terms of the numbers?

Just to add, the last two days I've had brown on the tissue when I wipe, so I imagine I'm going to get a visit from AF soon.

I've had the same issue with the app it was definitely my peak as the line was nearly as dark as the control line. But it still said low next to it. I've kind of ignored it as I have looked at other peoples that have posted, and the number was higher than their peak.

One one's I've seen posted it would say high next to it? But I didn't get that. Sorry not much help

I wouldn’t focus too much on the numbers and go by sight. If the line is as dark as or darker than the control then that’s your peak.

Ah right ok so the numbers aren't really accurate then I guess. I'll just have to go by the 'low' status then and see how I get on over the next month. I'm going to track my BBT once I get a thermometer I think.

Great idea, your BBT will confirm ovulation and will give you a clearer picture.

I've been using PreMom the last few cycles as wanted a little extra info after unfortunately having a MMC. I sometimes find the way it labels things quite random. But for the most part I'm pretty confident that the one it identifies as the peak is indeed the peak. My peaks tend to be around the 1.2-1.5 range. I've seen others on here whose peaks are around .8 which is a middling one for me. I've also seen others who have had over 2.0. I think it's quite personal and maybe the app tailors a bit to you once it knows your cycles a bit more?

I've fallen pregnant twice using opks that I've just judged by eye. It was always pretty clear to me which the strongest line was. I think as long as you're DTD plenty around the time of your stronger lines (whatever numbers they are!) then you can't go too far wrong.

I'm similar to @SnookyPook, TTC after a MMC using pre mom tests.

I found it really frustrating at first as the lines in general look so much stronger than other brands (a low on a PreMom test was a high on the chappy amazon ones I purchased).

My highs have ranged from 0.93 to a 2.04 this month. This month's peak was the darkest line I've ever seen a test produce! Fortunately we're both teachers and it's lined up well with school holidays and seems to have done the job.

As above ignore the numbers! Here are my tests and the bottom test is my easy@home from this morning and is a good example of a positive OPK. Although I thought yesterdays were positive until I saw today's 🤣
