Ovulation tests

Hi, I'm new to using ovulation tests.
I peaked at CD 16, now CD 20, when should you get a negative ovulation test? Mine is still positive. Not as dark as the peak day's, but quite dark.

So 4 days past ovulation? Thank you. First cycle using them and trying to work out what's the normal.

The last time I tracked I think I had 3 days of positive before finally getting an undeniable negative but they definitely did get lighter

Thank you. It's definitely lighter, but it was darker than I thought it would be. Just wanted to keep tracking so I knew not to get my hopes up.
