14DPO, no AF, BFN

Just looking for someone with a similar experience.

Today is 14DPO (confirmed with ovulation testing strips).

The Flo app is saying that I am 3 days late for AF, I tested Friday (1 day late) and BFN, I tested again this morning and again BFN.

I thought yesterday AF was on the way and was a little bit late as I had some cramping, but nothing. However this past week I have felt so tired, nauseous beyond belief (even my inhalers are making me feel sick) and have had a bit of a headache.

again today I have some light cramping but no sign of AF at all.

I know people say you aren’t out until AF arrives, but it the two BFN’s make me feel like it is pretty hopeless, but I wondered if anyone had experiences anything similar.

I haven’t got any experience but which tests are you using?

@BeingATwatItsABingThing I’ve just used cheap ones as they are what we had in the house.

I tend to find the cheap tests take ages to be visible. Maybe try a FRER or CB digital early test.

I was 4 days late last cycle and I was convinced I was pregnant despite getting negatives every single time 🤦🫣

@SophT27 did you do any other pregnancy tests prior to the one at 14dpo?
I had a chemical pregnancy which made my period late, but I was testing from about 8DPO. If I hadn’t tested so early I wouldn’t have picked it up and it would be a mysterious late period with a BFN like how you are describing!

Having said I had no experience, I’ve just remembered that I had a strangely late period when TTC DC2. Tested negative and then AF arrived so I put it down to ovulating later or just an unusual cycle.

@BeingATwatItsABingThing If I hadn’t caught ovulation on a OPK I wouldn’t be working myself up at all. I’ll try and get a FRER tomorrow on my lunch.

I’m not really hopefully, I’m starting to think it’s never going to happen for us. And I’ve began to be ok with it, but then my body does stuff like this.

@Lilpop90 no I didn’t, I did that a few cycles ago and just worked myself up over nothing so I’m trying to behave myself now and only text if AF is late. So my first test was Friday at 1 day late and again today at 3 days late. It could be that, I still feel so ropey and still no AF.

@HopefullMumto4 had you tested on OPK? Being 4 days late wouldn’t usually bother me too much, but it’s the fact I caught ovulation on OPK which is winding me up more! Xx

In first month of trying I was 11 days late for no apparent reason. Negative tests the whole time. It's a really confusing time so I hope you get an answer one way or the other soon xx

I had tested and had my LH surge too. The human body is so strange sometimes and likes to mess with us.

Recommend a better test and repeating every 2 days. I had a similar experience with DC1 although I was spotting too. It takes some people longer for HCG to build to detectable levels.

I could have written this post this morning. I am now 15dpo (also confirmed with OPK) and my app says that AF was due on Sunday. I tested on Saturday and believe that I got a evap line. Tested again this morning and negative. Using the clear blue (but not early ones). I have recently come off the implant though so I think my cycles are a little weird but I just wish I knew what was going on.

@CurlyWurly1991 so should I wait till tomorrow to test if still no AF by then, if I tested yesterday?

I have like a niggly pelvic ache, I wouldn’t say cramps, but I wonder if it’s signally the start of AF (but I felt the same Saturday).

@Belle199 you are in exactly the same position as me. If I hadn’t had a positive OPK I would have just assumed that i’d ovulated late or had an annovulatory cycle.

how have you been feeling? I felt awful again when I got up this morning, I was almost sick when I was brushing my teeth and could barely eat my breakfast but I do wonder if I’m just getting anxious over the unknown.

@SophT27 I think 30 mins after I posted this, AF arrived. Also stocked up on more tests before work too.

I did feel awful last week, headache every day, cramps maybe 6-7dpo and was feeling nauseous on and off.

This was our first month of trying and my implant was only removed 8 weeks ago - I had the implant for 14 years so was very unsure how my body would behave but I think this must have been my first complete cycle post- implant.

Hopefully you have some answers soon.

@SophT27 if you can stand to wait, every 48h probably better. Depends if you have any of the cheap internet test strips or not…
