So I was using wondfu opk and saw the line getting darker over a few days. Then the clearblue digital showed a flashing smiley 2 days ago along with wondfu opk showing a darker line but not as dark as the test line.
Yesterday I got a flashing smiley again but wondfu opk line was very very faint!!! How could that be. I tried again later in the day and same thing. Did I miss the surge???

Mine was 10 days when I conceived my middle :)

@HopefullMumto4 ahh that's brilliant! Thank you so much, I've been doing lots of reading today and apparently 10 days is ok, but I think that's possibly the shortest it can be?

@rosecbrm it’s fairly common to get a bfp at 10dpo, so I think on that basis 10 days is long enough, as it gives the egg enough time to implant? (Someone with more scientific knowledge may say that is flawed logic!)

I got BFPs at 10dpo with each of my 6 pregnancies anyway (have 2 kids and 4mcs) and have a 11/12 day luteal phase generally.

I think I just worry way to much and look into everything and I think it actually does me more harm than good.

Does anyone take the pregnacare pre conception vitamins? If so, what are your experiences with them? I'm reading mixed reviews!

How’s the wait going?

I realised I was actually 5DPO on Wednesday, and I’ve completely broken what I said and tested at 7DPO this morning even though it was obviously going to come back negative 😂. I’m really not sure about this month - I had what I think was a chemical before and had implantation bleeding and nausea by now. I’m going to try and have some willpower and wait until Monday to test again…

Haha well FF confirmed ovulation so I'm officially 3dpo.

Ooh I'd love to accidentally jump two days up the TWW 🙈 I've never had a positive at 7dpo but wouldn't stop me wanting to try anyway either lol

@Iamcatmum I’m 7dpo today and tested this morning as well, BFN 😂 don’t know why I expected anything more!!

Not sure whether to count myself out this month already though as I had a bit of a bleed at 1dpo - 4dpo. Not exactly heavy but I think it was too much to be ovulation bleeding x

jumping in this thread with a bit of a weird situation which is kind of freaking me out.

i stopped taking the pill on 1 june and haven't had a period since then. i haven't tracked my ovulation either so i dont know if i've ovulated or not, i wasn't thinking very hard about it until now.

from about 4-7th august i had a very strong metallic taste in my mouth, along with bad cramps, dizziness and nausea. since then these symptoms seem to have got better. i'm sure it must have been hormone related, i looked into possible other causes and nothing checks out. no sign of any period. i have taken a few tests which are negative.

if i'm not pregnant i'm a bit stumped about what those symptoms were. could it be ovulation? i've never had the metallic taste with PMS before. am i possibly pregnant but it's too early to detect? all rhetorical questions but it is driving me slightly mad 🙃.

Ttc a while...been reading all the these threads for months...find it reassuring .....said id join yee,
Cd 1, staying optismistic, haven't used ovulation sticks...think I will this month...used the preseed Lube this month, found it helpful...

Hi ladies, can I join? TTC since Sept so..feels like a while! Currently 14dpo (know I could test but deciding to wait a little while as had BFN at 12dpo), lots of cramping from 6-9 dpo but nothing much now except a funny taste in my mouth last night.
Mind and body seems to plan tricks on me some months though with lots of symptoms!

@rangu your cycles can be all over the place for a while after coming off hormonal contraception. Especially if you're not tracking ovulation/temperature etc., it's pretty impossible to know whether your body just hasn't got around to ovulating yet, or if you did ovulate and might be pregnant. Just a waiting game I'm afraid!

@Ecj92 Ooh looking good! I would add a third test in if you can! I got my peak in the middle of the day this cycle and totally would have missed it otherwise.

@Grumpymummy78 I envy your will power! I'm absolutely ridiculous with testing and end up doing it multiple times a day

I think my chart is looking good but time will tell I guess!

@rangu If you haven't tracked ovulation we can't be much help I'm afraid! Other than suggesting testing every other day from now to see if anything shows up :)

I've managed to catch my son's cold! Just in time for a very busy weekend 🙄 Oh well, fortunately it's not hit me too hard so I'll just dose up on cold and flu tablets and get on with it 😂

OPKs are still hovering around the 0.6 mark so I feel like it'll peak soon but still no idea when. The cold will likely throw it off now anyway 🤦🏻‍♀️

@HopefullMumto4 thanks! Honestly though, I've spent so so much over the past year on tests, googled the hell out of my symptoms each month to no avail, so I'm trying a new approach: I'm trying the 'if it happens, it happens' way of thinking and forgetting about it. Let's see how long that lasts! 😂

@HopefullMumto4 hi! Yeah I’m planning on one around the middle of the day and another at night. They have been reading 61 last 3 tests but definitely going up, so I presume this means I am indeed ovulating which has been my fear, I had a 21 day test a few months back at my GP and they said it came back fine but I’m in this never ending cycle of worry. How are you feeling today? 3dpo! X

Oh bugger, AF just arrived, sad times!! oh well.

Hiii! Can I join? :) This month has been the first month of trying… I am currently 2DPO and feeling very impatient. Me and my boyfriend went from the “we’ll come off the pill and see if it happens” vibe to me reading up on all things conception and buying the OPKs in the space of a few weeks 😂 When do you suggest I wait to take a test?

@chelau I think that's how we all ended up here 🙈I always wait until the day I'm expecting my period or later to test - I figure that should be a definitive answer! I don't think I could handle getting a negative test and still not knowing either way! That being said, I did test (using an early test) at 6DPO one month because I wanted to check I could drink alcohol and got a BFP- I think that was about as early as they ever get though!

I'm 5dpo and already feeling the urge to test. What is wrong with me 🤣 I KNOW it wouldn't be positive anyway, why do I insist on wasting money

Could have written the above post about deciding to 'just try' myself, now I'm reading up on TTC and forums every day and can't seem to stop myself! I'm 12 DPO on first month of TTC. Had BFN 10 DPO and again today at 12. Not even a hint of a line. I know it's rare for the first month to be successful but I stupidly felt really hopeful. AF is due on Tuesday so it's just a waiting game now. No real symptoms other than being really tired a couple of days ago but that could have been from anything.
Side note, the hidden costs of TTC are unreal - ovulation tests and pregnancy tests are not cheap, nobody prepares you for this!!
