Ovulation

Hello all,

We are currently TTC and I have been using ovulation strips to test ovulation.

Yesterday I had a faint line (which I know means negative) but today there is nothing at all. Does this mean I have missed ovulation or does it not matter that one day the line was there and wasn't the next as they were both negative?

I hope that makes sense!

From my app I use I am not due to ovulate for another 3 days and I am usually consistent.

Thank you 😊

Hey, I'm not very experienced in this as I've only used the tests for 2 cycles but this cycle, my strip was getting weaker which I was worried about but got stronger again so hopefully that can give you some reassurance, I'd say keep trying as I've read some people go from very light lines to dark quickly, I guess everyone is different and maybe each cycle will be a bit different. I think I missed catching my proper peak this cycle but it's given me a good idea of when it is!

I've started using the premom app and found it helpful to take pics of the test strips and log it.

I’d also recommend Premom app and buy the Premom tests off Amazon (very cheap).

also from what I’ve read you need to be doing your testing between 11-3pm and if possible also do one the same evening to make sure you don’t miss your spike. I’ve been doing 2 daily and I’m starting to notice a gradual increase so hoping in the next 3 days I’ll reach my spike! This I also test alongside my BBT which are also about £6 off amazon :)

good luck on your TTC journey x

Thank you so much for giving me a bit of hope :) it seems to have slightly got darker again today! Will take the advice of testing over the course of the day and about the tests!

Good luck too! X

ive just started ovulation tracking. Your high is 0.61 and your peak is 0.83. I have one test at 0.78 (yesterdays test) but it’s telling me that it’s low 🤔 it is very early in my cycle but I just had my coil out a few weeks ago, and had a period which was a week late, so maybe it’s right that my ovulation is early? I’m driving myself mad with it, so any reassurance is gratefully received lol

I'm definitely not an expert on it sorry, because I only started tracking on pre mom with the OPKs recently, this cycle more consistently. I think the app needs to get to know your usual levels a bit 🤷 most people's pics of their tracking shows peaks higher than 1.0 so I did think mine is low but it's classed as a peak for me? I read somewhere that above 0.8 can be ok for a peak? Sorry I'm rambling a bit, I only attached my pic to show it went down and worried me but did go back up afterwards.

If you use the search bar for OPK I think you will see threads with more experienced users, I've never been on the coil so not sure how that would impact things. I hope you find the info you are after, good luck x
