Hi all, this is a weird question to ask but feel like this is a safe space (no judgement) and no question is too out there...so here it goes....

I'm 3 DPO but worried my husband an I didn't BD at the right time or enough this cycle.

I test with OPK and temping and we did the deed twice the day before ovulation and once on the first day of ovulation but I have had to go away with work until today so haven't had any time together since.

Was planning on BD again today (planning how romantic 🤣) on my return but worried we have not done enough in our peak window this month.

Sorry if this is too much information, I'm too embarrassed to speak about this with anyone in real life, but just wanted some opinions if possible.

Thank you!!
Rebecca xx

It only takes one . I wouldn't stress about how often etc . If it was around ovulation your in with a chance . ( just for reassurance we bd day of ovulation according to calculator, so literally just the once this whole cycle as DH wasn't well) and I got my BFP yesterday .

Hi Rebecca! Don't be embarrassed, I think most of us have questions/worries like that.
I think (after lots of reading on the subject) that is not really about the ammount of times you have sex, its about making sure you do so during that fertile window and it sounds like you did. Actually I think the day before ovulation is the day with the best chance for conception!

I have been pregnant 3 times (2 early miscarrages) and each we only managed to dtd once or twice in the fertile window--I think its more timing rather than quantity!

I am in the tww again now and we only managed to dtd 6 days before ovulation and 2 days before (my little boy is currently a bit sick and not sleeping great, also we are a bit lazy🤣) but I remain optimistic.

Fingers crossed for you!🤞

Hi @RCARB it could take doing it once and it can happen. This happened to me, literally just done it the once and i fell pregnant.
Hope you get your BFP hun x

I wouldn't worry about it!

Hiddenvoice · 02/08/2023 10:54

Try not to worry about it! As many people say it only takes the one time.
I found it really difficult ttc my dr pointed out that I was putting too much stress onto myself and my dh around the time of ovulation. She instead said try make it more fun and try be more regular throughout the month.

Congratulations all those who have their BFP and baby dust and fingers crossed for those still waiting 💜

Apologies I posted on the wrong thread! Have reported my comment to be deleted.

In response to your question @RCARB it sounds like you've DTD on the right days so fingers crossed for you 🤞
