Hi
I have 3 dds.
Two were conceived in my early twenties and I had no problem getting pregnant, in fact neither were planned. I am no longer with their father and I have been with my DP for nearly 12 years...he is the father of my dd3.
I had 4 mcs (all between 7/9 weeks of pregnancy altough one was a missed mc found at 12 wk scan) before having dd3. We have been trying to have another since she was born but only had two more mcs (both at same stage). My dp andI have had blood tests to check for chromosomal problems and lupus etc but no reason for mcs were found. Thelastmc was 10 months ago...
A little while ago I passed what I think was a fibroid during my normal heavy period(about the size of a 10p but roundish) although I have never been told I had any...
My Dp are now concerned that we will never have another baby and I am 37 and time is running out.
What do I ask the doctor? Should dp have a sperm test for instance? Any help gratefully received...

Now unless your GP is completely heartless,he should refer you to a specialist by just looking at your medical history, you shouldn't need to plead your case at all.

You need to see a specialist!!!!!!! Tell the GP that!!!

Good luck hun xxxx

thank you Moonlit. We were referred to a consultant gynae before we had dd3, but when i got pg with her and it progressed nomally they felt there was no further need...
i have been told i do not have sticky blod syndrome and chromosome tests for myself and dp were normal.
what other tests can we ask for?

Dropdeadfred has you body changed in any other way since you had DD3. If you managed to conceive with DP, then it's still possible, don't give up hope just yet. Tell me a little about you for example, you height, weight, your cycle or any conditions you have. I am sure we can work this out together.

I love doing detective work.

I am a little overweight...but i was before having her, i am 5' 4 and about 11 1/2 stone..maybe a little more I am currently doing WW to lose weight.

My cycles used to be about 31 days long..now they are more like 27/28 this is since last mc in May 2007). I used to just get my period but nowadays I get acouple of days of spotting and it can stop and start a bit, making the whole last about 6/7 days.

I do have a clearblue monitor and used to buy the sticks and use it religiosly..but got fed up of spending £20 a month and getting no results...I used to get my peak on day 14.

My periods have begun to be very painful with immense amount of back ache and lower tummy pain..a heavy dragging feeling (like early labour pains!!!)

Thanks for taking an interest!!!

Hi Dropdeadfred

Now it sounds to me like you have endometriosis or possibly fibroids. Fibroids can cause miscarriages and infertility but it is treatable. I think if you are referred to a specialist, then he/she will suggest a laparoscopy (this is the only way to detect and positively confirm endometriosis). Both of these conditions can be treated with surgery and/or medications. There might be talks of another D & C etc and checking you DP to. Thought I would mention it so that you aren't shocked

You need to remain opitimistic. If they can find the route of the problem , then you are half way there. I have been TTC my second since 2006, I have PCOS. So I understand your frustration. I have a DD who will be two next week. I love her so much and I am very grateful that I at least have one child. You are blessed with three beautiful daughters, if it doesn't happen, don't let it rule your life enjoy your daughters to the fullest.

Please let me know what happens. Good luck hun.

xx
