Hi all, I'm on month 9 ttc, around 5 dpo and again feeling like it's not my month. Do you have any success stories at that time and getting your bfp naturally? Any advice?
We are planning on testing DHs sperm, I will do some blood work in a month or two.
I get positive opks each month and ovulate on cd17/18, cycle lenhth 30-32. Had vaginal ultrasound and Papp smear in January - everything seemed fine,it was CD 12 and said I was going to ovulate on right side which I felt! So I guess I do ovulate.
I take vitamins and coq10, eat healthy and work out 1-2 times per week (not enough maybe) but in healthy bmi.
Sorry for long post, but just feeling depressed and lonely :(

Didn't want to read and run but you're definitely not alone. Anything up to a year is totally normal and although frustrating, don't get worried yet. It took me 2.5 years to conceive (scans and blood tests were all normal). If you get to a year it's worth going to your GP to see how they can help. Just wanted to say there's lots of people who spend a longer time TTC, I know when I first read these boards it sounded like everyone gets pregnant within a few months but I promise that isn't the case x

elliejjtiny · 29/07/2023 17:40

I got pregnant with ds1 on cycle 13. I know it seems like everyone gets pregnant at the drop of a hat but up to a year is normal, longer if you are older.

Angelselevenx · 29/07/2023 17:48

@dormicumema it's a very lonely journey I find although there are lots of groups and chats available. I'm the same as you though, I'm cycle 6 TTC number 1, had a chemical on cycle 2 and nothing since. Going for private testing in September which will be 7/8 months trying

FlyOnTheWall89 · 29/07/2023 18:03

@dormicumema I have a very similar profile / cycle etc to you. I'd personally get cracking with tests as everything takes time and results take time to get etc. We ended up with MFI, but conceived naturally on cycle 15. Felt like forever. Everyone says a year is normal, but it's a hard pill to swallow when it feels like 'all' your friends conceived on month 1 or 2 after stopping the pill. I'm BFing my baby girl rn and it's worth the wait. Keep going xxx

It’s so difficult isn’t it. It took me 5 years and 1 month to get pregnant with dc1, 15 months to get pregnant with dc2 and I’m now on cycle 20 for dc3 but had an ectopic with cycle 15.
I have pcos , endometriosis and adenomyosis. With dc 1 I had 5 failed ivf cycles. It seems I can conceive but it just takes ages and ages.

If you get to 12 months and nothing , get a HSG/HyCoSy to check your tubes and a sperm analysis for your dh

LucyLoopyLu · 29/07/2023 21:59

@FlyOnTheWall89 I remember your name from the boards a few months ago! Congrats on your lovely baby, glad to hear it worked out for you

OP - No advice, sorry, but currently on cycle 14. It's tough! We've had some testing and nothing seems to flag up any real reason yet, maybe we're just unlucky. I'm getting on with the referral through the GP now so hopefully will be getting somewhere soon. Still trying, you never know when it could be your month

Goldendoodlelover · 19/10/2023 13:15

Have you had any luck @dormicumema ? I’m in the same boat - been ttc number 1 for 11 months, have had baseline blood tests and scans which show I’m ovulating, am otherwise healthy, but finding it very hard to stay positive at this point when so many people around me seem to be falling pregnant so quickly!

dormicumema · 19/10/2023 14:47

So unfortunately still ttc. I went to obgyn and everything seems normal,we repeated bloods and transvaginal ultrasound and also she was measuring my dominant follicle this month and also confirmed my ovulation... The only thing that stands out is my uterus in rvf position (no one never described it like that) which in combination with my painful periods could be sign of endo.
I am supposed to see fertility specialist in 3 weeks for first appointment. Fingers crossed.
Planning to do hycosy and depending on the results I guess we will decide what next. Still actively trying and praying it happens for you and me 🤞

Any updates? Same situation, emotional rollercoaster and would love to hear how you got on! Xx

Angelselevenx · 24/09/2024 08:19

@OneHeapedTeaspoonOfSugar I'm still here, TTC 😂 20 months in. Due to start IVF in the new year xx

Sorry to hear that! Did you have any investigations along the way? I saw you had a chemical on cycle 2, I also had a chemical early on which gave me false reassurance I think!

I hope your IVF journey is smooth and you get your miracle at the end 🩵

Angelselevenx · 24/09/2024 16:23

@OneHeapedTeaspoonOfSugar urgh I'm sorry. How long have you been TTC now?

Yep, sperm analysis for my partner (normal), hycosy and bloods for me. Only thing with me is my progesterone is slightly low so I'm on cycle 7 of letrozole (which helped to boost my progesterone) and this is the first cycle of progesterone pessarys, as I started spotting at 9DPO last cycle even though my progesterone was high at 7 dpo. It's such a journey, but we have to stay positive. Thank you 🖤

Since the beginning of the year! Had my chemical on cycle 4, but I have PCOS and a small adenomyoma and my husband has a slightly low count, so if we’re not successful by the end of the year think we’ll do private IVF.

Thats interesting about the pessaries - who started you on those? How often do you need to take them! I did ask about them as I am a luteal spotter but they said no. My progesterone has always been okay though whenever I’ve had it measured on my day 21 equivalent!

thank you 🩵

dormicumema · 26/09/2024 19:06

@Angelselevenx still here, i had my first ivf at the beginning of the month, EC was last wednesday and due to mild ohss we decided to freeze all blasts on Monday so waiting for my first FET and hoping for our little miracle :)

Angelselevenx · 27/09/2024 05:36

@dormicumema that's great news, how did it go? Did you get a nice amount of eggs? Best of luck, I think I'll have to do a FET as I have high amh so would also be at risk of OHSS.

@OneHeapedTeaspoonOfSugar ah yes good idea. Although after a year of TTC you can be referred to the fertility clinic who would maybe be able to try something else before IVF? My fertility clinic prescribed them to me, I'd been asking for months because of the spotting and only the last month did he finally agree. 7dpo on first round of progesterone though and already thinking I'm out 🤦🏽‍♀️

dormicumema · 27/09/2024 10:15

@Angelselevenx it went well except for prolonged bloating and ovary pain/pain during peeing or pooping 😅 the morning of egg collection there were around 25 follicles, they managed to get 15 oocytes of which 12 were mature and all of them fertilised, on day 5 of those 12 fertilised 7 were very good quality blastocysts so we have a good number for future transfers!

Angelselevenx · 27/09/2024 10:25

@dormicumema that's amazing!!! Do you get to do the FET next cycle or do you have to skip a month? I never know

dormicumema · 27/09/2024 18:30

@Angelselevenx Yes, it is very reassuring knowing we have more chances thank God! We hope it will be next cycle but you never know with this things!
