Any opk expects over here?

Does 27th look like my peak? Tests have started getting lighter again since then.
I had a miscarriage earlier this month, miscarried at 12 weeks but baby stopped growing about 7 1/2 weeks. Bled for around 3 weeks, (2 weeks after tissue passed on 7th July).
Anyway we're wanting to get started trying again so have begun LH testing from Sunday 23rd which was 2 days after I finished bleeding. I know hormones and cycle can be all messed up after a miscarriage. When I was testing prior to the pregnancy I never got higher than 0.85 and that was the cycle I conceived.
Chart picture also shows bbt but this is measured off my Samsung watch which not takes night temp to aid cycle tracking so I'm aware it may be an iffy reading.

I'm not sure, but your readings look good to me. I never had much joy with opk's, and I tried for years with them! They barely registered a read at all, so yours look impressive from here.

That said, I had an u/s at one point after my usual week of opk testing, and the scan showed clearly that I'd just ovulated. Yet the opks said I hadn't.

Good luck anyway x

@Whoisdis hello and first of all, so sorry for your loss. I had a MMC in April that was very similar - 12wk scan but had stopped developing at 7+5. Everyone is very different of course but my period started 5 wks to the day after my loss bleed started so my cycle was a week longer than usual. I didn't track opks that first cycle so not sure about ovulation but going by my usual luteal phase, it would have been about 5 days after my miscarriage bleeding stopped.

In terms of your pictures I would say there is a chance that you peaked in the middle of the day on the 26th, rising a bit more from your .72 before dropping again to your evening reading of .54. As you say, cycles can also be a bit weird after a loss, and it may be that your LH started to surge but you might get a second, higher surge in a few days. It might be worth testing for a few more days if you want to be certain.

Good luck and sorry again for your loss. ❤️

@Dustyblue how strange they don't work for you. I used them for 2 cycles before pregnancy and both times my peak matched with ovulation pain I experienced so felt they must be right.

@SnookyPook I'm sorry to hear you've also experienced this, sorry for your loss too 💕 So ovulation can happen early after then as that would match your dates.
That's true hopefully I have missed the peak with testing, but I am going to continue for a bit see if it rises again. This is worse than first time around ttc as I feel now that I'm a few months behind following the loss 😔 I know that's not the right way to think of it but I started getting all these plans and dates in my mind of when things would be happening.

@Whoisdis thats a very natural response. You are grieving.. all the hopes and dreams. It's hard. I still have moments I burst into tears and I'm a couple of months further into my recovery than you are. Just be gentle with yourself. Are you on the miscarriage boards too? I found some great support on there 💕

Whoisdis · 29/07/2023 08:45

@SnookyPook Thank you 😊 It's not something you've ever prepared for so hits you from nowhere. I do visit the miscarriage boards there's some fantastic help overe there.

I think the images I posted do show ovulation as my temp is slightly raised today and lh lower so that's going in the right direction 👍

@Whoisdis fantastic - it's reassuring to know that your body is getting back into the swing of things even though it also brings its own difficult emotions at times! Good luck going forwards xx

Best of luck to you OP. I lost my 2nd pregnancy (1st was 7 wks) at around the same gestation as you- 13 weeks but it likely ended earlier.

It throws your TTC head for a curveball. It's so good that opk's work for you, that reassurance is useful! When I 1st saw your charting I thought Wow, wish mine had looked like that X

Whoisdis · 30/07/2023 16:14

@Dustyblue sorry you've been through this more than once. 💕
Definitely helps being able to see it visually, but I see other charts online and they look better as they have a build up or very strong peak. If only there was a way to guarantee pregnancy ey! You do everything right on the right timing and it's still a game of complete chance 😔
