Late periods since ttc

We have been ttc for past 3 months and my periods are regular every month +1/2 days.
But since we have started ttc, i have been getting late periods by a week with bfns. Even this month i am already 5 days late with bfn and 0 Af symptoms.

Does anyone know if sperm could cause it? I mean obviously i am not pregnant but i don't see any other change that could cause my late periods?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Were you on birth control before? Stopping it can sometimes mess with your cycles for a bit

This can happen when you start taking supplements/folic acid. Have you?

Im on higher FA as of this month & its messed it all upp

I am not taking any supplements, and i have never used any birth control on my part. My husband would use condom previously but obviously we have given that up now.

I wonder if it's the genetics of the sperm that messes up with your internals??!! So sorry if i sound stupid but it's stressing me out, as I'd rather have my period on time if bfns so can move on to the next cycle quickly. Ugh!!

@Plumbibii that’s a really interesting theory! Have you considered going to the dr?

@FoodFann i haven't considered going to doctor for the fear of being brushed off as nothing serious.
I mean Dr google says it's normal for periods to be late by 7 days.
I have been having really bad hormonal acne for past 2 months as well so maybe could go to doctors.
