Bleeding 10 days before period

Hi all,

I have had a miscarriage in May and we have TTC this month. My period is supposed to come in 10 days but for the past few days I have been having lower back and abdominal pains and then for the past two days I have been spotting when wiping. This morning however I bled as if on the first day of my period and am having what feels like period cramps. Can my period come so early? Since my miscarriage my period has actually been quite regular.

I am not sure if this could qualify for implementation bleeding and whether I am already miscarrying before a BFP? I am quite worried and not sure what’s going on. Anyone had this happen when TTC? Thank you.

I have actually had two periods since my miscarriage and both have come exactly 27 days apart to the dot. Following the miscarriage, my period came exactly 27 days after and in June the same. I was expecting it to be very irregular but for two cycles everything has been extremely regular. So two periods should be indicative enough. I also have been following up with a consultant who said that all is regular also in terms of ovulation and gave the green light to try again…

Im so sorry about your MC. I haven't experienced that but I've been spotting and cramping for the last 2 days and I'm only 5dpo. Period not due for 10 days either, I've never had this before! Im as clueless as you but at least not alone!

I've also had this, mmc in may and June I spotted on 8dpo and this month I've spotted on 6dpo. Both with cramps as well. Getting so frustrated with it.

@PeachF that’s exactly my situation, thank you for sharing. I am a bit frustrated as well to be honest but can only wait and see how this will progress. I have a blood clotting issue so I am quite concerned about this as well. I have been prescribed aspirin from BFP but thinking maybe I should have started from ovulation?

@Kellyaust Indeed it is. I was just hoping that this time it works out and I just focus on keeping the pregnancy this time around.

For me, it must be implantation or some kind of gynaecological issue which has just (cruelly!) decided to appear this month on first month TTC to mess with me! Because usually I'm regular as clockwork and zero spotting until day before AF. I plan on testing in a few days.

I truly hope it is implantation bleeding in your case and nothing else is at play gynaecologically. In my case, I am starting to think that this is indeed unfortunately a period that has come 10 days earlier as the bleeding is getting heavier and feels more like a period than anything else. I have had a particularly stressful month so it can be that I ovulated earlier than usual and I didn’t realise. I will be monitoring my ovulation by regularly testing in the next cycle and hopefully things work out well next time. And I hope for you that your BFP shows up soon!!! :)
