So my first official tww begins today, anyone at the same stage.
First try for a second little one, currently have one who had their primary leavers assembly today so will be a fairly large age gap

8dpo today and bfn. last 2 pregnancies i got a bfp on 8dpo but like right before bed so late at night. going to test tonight but i don’t feel that positive anymore - i had so much cramping up until yesterday and now it’s totally gone. just have a feeling i’m out.

Ncl31 · 24/07/2023 10:29

@satellitesunshine don’t forget every BFP will be different, you’re not out until AF arrives. Try to stay positive, let us know how you get on if you decide to test tonight or over the coming days.
sending lots of baby dust your way

I'm honestly not sure when (or if) I've ovulated but got fanny daggers today out of the blue. Maybe it's a sign.

Biscuitbeann · 24/07/2023 12:33

hey! Can I join? 3DPO today and already driving myself mad, this is cycle 2 of trying for our first!

Kcitsorf · 24/07/2023 12:50

I'm in my first TWW too. I am however very confused as to the dpo. I've been using opks and put the results in 2 apps but they have given me different ovulation dates (one is saying 5 dpo and the other is saying 8dpo) no idea what I have done here! I'm going to try and wait for AF before testing but it feels impossible at the moment 😂😂

I've counted my ovulation day as the day after I have a positive lh test (I assume opk is the Lh test?) That's what my natural cycles is showing but I might be wrong!

Kcitsorf · 24/07/2023 13:06

This is exactly what I did. I had been testing with the easy@home tests and got a peak in that. I also then did a digital to confirm and had a smiley face. I put both of those result in the apps and one changed the date to the following day and the other app changed ovulation the 3 days later.

How strange! Last month natural cycles said I ovulated 3 days after my positive lh so I just ignored that. I think it was waiting for the temperature to rise but this time round it seems correct and placed ovulation day after the positive

Kcitsorf · 24/07/2023 13:22

If this isn't our month then I'm going to try temperature checking along side. I think I was naive starting this journey, I feel like there is so much to know. AF is due on Sunday so we shall see

Sunnydays12340987 · 24/07/2023 13:36

My temperature is all over the place, I've checked I'm measuring correctly and everything. I've found it helpful to know generally when it's riddling and then has fallen on day of AF before. I've dropped temperature testing at the moment but will again omif AF arrives.
Fingers crossed it's your month!

Omg so many typos sorry

Belle89 · 24/07/2023 13:46

Well think I'm going mad already. Totally exhausted, was in bed 8pm Saturday, sore boobs and bloated, sat in work with my jeans undone!
And still a week to go until I can test really, any help keep sane? 🙃

Hi all, joining in as well if I may.

Trying for a second baby and this is the second month trying. First time round we were very relaxed and just had sex regularly for some 12 months until we became worried that something was wrong. We had all the tests done on the NHS (they were pretty good, but long waiting times) and got referred to a fertility clinic (test results were fine but they referred us for "unexplained infertility"). I then stumbled upon Clear Blue ovulation tests (a friend passed me a pack she did not need) and it all became clear. I had just got my likely ovulation time wrong (I do wonder why none of the doctors even mentioned these ovulation tests)! With the CB sticks (which work wonderfully for me) we were successful within 2 months.

I am currently at (anything between) 3 DPO and 7 DPO. Long story short but I ran out of pink CB sticks and had to start a pack of purple CB sticks in the same month, which confused the results a bit. Turns out purple sticks work in the pink reader but the pink reader may confuse the two types of hormones as it is only meant to look for one (so you may get a solid smiley where it should have been a flashing smiley). Eventually the purple reader also caught up (it is always negative when you start a new pack as it establishes a baseline).

For my first pregnancy I tested (for the first time) at something like 20 DPO and it was obviously very positive. I did not even know what the TWW was. As I grow older I am becoming more impatient so now I can't wait to test (hence my joining this group). However, for what's worth I would still discourage people from symptom spotting (other than for fun or out of boredom) as it really does not mean anything. For example, I had many "symptoms" (some very specific ones which were definitely not PMS, or so I persuaded myself) when I was definitely not pregnant and none at all when I was.

@Sunnydays12340987 my temp started to dip 2 days before AF last month but only dropped below the cover line the day before!

my chart seems to be doing what it’s supposed to but I know that doesn’t really count for much!

when will everyone start testing?

Yea it's so random what can happen but good your chart is telling you something

I've caved and tested 8 dpo, was negative. 10 dpo now, trying to resist testing until later this week. My natural cycles is saying I was due on today (i think shorter luteal phase) but that hasn't happened but I'm not counting on that. If AF hasn't arrived Wednesday I can see myself caving and testing either then or Thursday. How about you?

Sunnydays12340987 · 24/07/2023 20:03

Well I caved and did a test today at 10 dpo and was negative 🙃 it's like an addiction 😅 ok no more easy@home tests left, just one digital one so no more testing until Thursday or Friday unless AF turns up

Ncl31 · 24/07/2023 20:07

@Sunnydays12340987 im only about 7DPO and I POAS today, only because I had some in the house. I’ve used all of the IC I had in the house now.
Im not going to POAS again until Sunday when my DH is home from working away.
im hoping my cycle is more regular this month, with PCOS I sometimes have long cycles which really frustrates me.

Ncl31 · 24/07/2023 20:36

@Sunnydays12340987 thank you.
Im desperately trying not to symptom spot but I did have a dull ache today and I feel really thirsty, no idea if that has any significance.

pmd88 · 24/07/2023 21:03

Not testing until I am late! Sick of dissapointment!

Biscuitbeann · 24/07/2023 21:34

It’s so hard not to test super early!! I’m gonna test on Sunday I think so that would make me 9 or 10 dpo depending on which app I base things from, if nothing then I’m going to wait until the day my AF is due. I say this but I know I’ll struggle not to test every day from Sunday!

Belle89 · 24/07/2023 21:39

@Biscuitbeann I'm hoping to hold out until Sunday too 🤞 have no tests in the house so will order some IC if any one has any recommendations? Thinking possibly the Wondfo ones.

@Belle89 I’ve just got the easy@home tests and then I’ve got FRER and the clear blue digital. I plan to hold off as much as I can with them as I know they’re expensive in comparison to my easy@home!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the FRER though - bad for Evap lines apparently
