FRER slow line progression :(

Hi ladies, I tested positive at 11DPO earlier this week and sadly I don’t think my lines are progressing as they should. In order from the top in the pic I shared it’s 11DPO, 12DPO, 13DPO and 14DPO (all with FMU). I’ve included 2 versions to show the same tests in the same order.

Sadly I’ve had 3 losses over the last 2 years including 1 chemical this winter (and no living children) so I know I shouldn’t be testing obsessively every morning, but there is a reason why I’m so anxious.

please can anyone share their experiences with a slow line progression? Is there any hope? Any positive stories out there? Thank you x

I would really stop testing for a few days. I had the faintest line at 14 dpo (fainter than your strongest), and didn’t have a strong line for another week. I’m now 9+2.

Line progression isn't really a thing - the midwives at my hospital get super annoyed at it because it doesn't mean anything, so long as they don't actively get lighter (which yours aren't). Stop testing, and sit tight. It's so hard to do I know, but you're working yourself up over something you don't need to. I totally get why you would be worried, but this isn't helping you. Testing won't control if you keep this baby or not x

@Bianca92 I'm sorry you've had such a difficult journey. I agree, stop testing for a few days. I tested positive at 12dpo last week too and it was vvvvvfl. It wasn't getting darker and I was worried. I had a miscarriage in April so I can understand your anxiety, I've had it too. I stopped testing daily.

Today is first day after my af was due and also 5w3d which is how far along last time when I miscarried. I was cramping this morning so tested as I was panicking and my lines are strong now at 18dpo. It suddenly jumped up. Your 14 dpo lines are stronger than mine were at 14dpo so I hope you can take some reassurance in that. Best thing you can do is not stress, relax and wait (which are all harder than it sounds!).

Finally....Congrats on the positive! Have my 🤞🏼that it gets darker

@Bianca92 congratulations! 💐 my line never progressed. She’s asleep in her crib now 😊🤞🏻

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 21/07/2023 08:34

They have progressed

Pregnancy hormones double every 48-72 hours so you wont see big differences when you test every day

Tiredjoanna · 21/07/2023 08:36

Looks very good to me. I had fainter line than that and got beautiful 10mo boy. Congratulations 🎉

Thank you so much ladies it means so much hearing all of your encouragement and positive stories!! You all gave me a little bit of hope, and I’m definitely less tense than I was an hour ago so thank you! Pregnancy after loss is so so hard, I really wish I could just switch off my anxiety and relax a little bit more, but it’s a deep rooted fear that feels impossible at times. Will do my best and will try to give it a rest with the tests for a while 😅 I have an early scan booked in 2 weeks with the EPU because of my history so I just hope I make it till then xx

I wouldn't say these are slow they look fabulous! I understand you're paranoid but these look really good 😌

@Bianca92 I totally get it - I've just had surgical management for my second missed miscarriage (both between 10-11 weeks) and I know if I get pregnant again I'll be a wreck when I get to that stage. All you have for now is the fact that you are pregnant, and you have a nice strong line. Hold on to that. Hope you have a good scan in 2 weeks x

I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s so unfair. I also had 2 MMC around the 10 week mark (and very traumatic surgeries) so I understand. It’s hard not to try to compare my lines now to my much stronger lines before, but obviously those pregnancies didn’t work out, so I guess line progression doesn’t mean much. Thanks for your positive vibes, I hope you get your rainbow soon xx

@Bianca92 it's hard getting so close to 12 weeks isn't it. I'm praying you have a sticky little bean, and thank you. We deserve our much longer for rainbows 🌈 xx

I haven’t read the post yet but I made an exact same post at this back in November worrying my tests weren’t progressing…I’m now cuddling my nearly 3 week old. I think test lines vary on how diluted your wee is etc, 🤞🏻 for a sticky baby for you xx

this was my post. I got told to test every other day as hcg doubles every 48 hours which is what I was doing in the end and it didn’t get darker then i stopped testing as I prepared myself for the worst, the worst didn’t happen and I tested again and I got a dye stealer xx

Is this slow? | Mumsnet

Got my bfp last Saturday at 10dpoz tested again at 12dpo and 13 dpo and today, none of this have been fmu. My test is darker but seems like it's quite...

Just posting an update in case anyone else comes across this in the future - my tests did actually did fade over the weekend and this morning it’s barely visible. So I can only assume it’s another chemical and that my period is hopefully on its way soon. Another thing to add is always trust your intuition. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not.
