I know this sounds a bit barking, but I thought it might be interesting to anyone TTC

\link{http://www.menstruation.com.au/fertility/whynatal.html\Lunar Phase Conception Technique}

Allegedly very reliable

How do you know that lunar phase you were born under?

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:03

You need date and time of birth, that's all. I can look it up for you if you are interested hula.

I know it sounds a bit mad, but it's non-invasive therefore can't really do any harm

Hulababy · 13/12/2004 17:06

Hey, I m willing to consider anything (non intrusive) at times! Might be rubbish, but can it harm. Just curious really.

My DOB is 12th February 1973
Time of birth was just after 10pm at night

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:12

OK, I've looked it up and you were born when the moon was waxing in its second quarter (120 degrees 44 minutes ahead of the sun). I will find out a list of dates for you when (according to this theory) you should be at your most fertile. BRB.

I KNOW when I was most fertile - about ten years ago Grin

Hulababy · 13/12/2004 17:21

Cheers

LOL hester - think you may well be right there! Sure if I had started TTC a decade ago it'd have been easier - surely???

Curious to see f the two match up.

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:35

Looking at this month, the 19/20/21 would be (allegedly) good conception days (providing this coincides with your menstrual cycle). And (according to Dr Jonas) if you did conceive on those days you would be expecting a girl!

Will look up the dates for beginning of next year for you too

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:38

18/19/20 January 2005 look good too (boy)
17/18/19 February 2005 (girl)

OP posts:
Hulababy · 13/12/2004 17:41

I'll jot them down and see how they match with Fertility Friend info too.

Just looked at this current months and according to FF the "good" days are 18th to 22nd, whoch do match up! Best warn DH then Grin

Thanks!

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:42

18/19/20 March (boy)
16/17/18 April (boy)

Although the link with astrology makes it look barking, it's perfectly sensible to associate the phase of the moon with fertility and the menstrual cycle, so it might work!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 13/12/2004 17:44

Well, you never know. The gender link is interesting.

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 17:45

Good Luck then hula Smile

I thought I'd test this to see if I conceived either of my children in accordance with the lunar phase and it is accurate for dd but the sex was wrong. Dates and sex correct for ds though.

OP posts:
Hulababy · 13/12/2004 18:07

Where are you finding all this? I have no idea on what date DD was concieved, so can't figure that one out!

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 18:08

I'm counting back nine months from their birthday!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 13/12/2004 18:11

Ah, I see!

RudyDudy · 13/12/2004 19:25

spacedonkey - it does sound interesting (well, anything's worth a try isn't it?!) but I don't seem to be able to work it! Do you download the hormonal forecaster trial?

sorry if I'm being a bit thick Blush

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 19:27

No you're not being thick, that hormonal forecaster is a different thing anyway. If you give me your birthdate and time I'll work it out for you.

RudyDudy · 13/12/2004 19:29

ty - it's 28.10.1972 at 02.40am

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 19:39

rudydudy, your lunar phase is waning just before the last quarter (104 degrees).

1-3 Jan 2005 (girl)
30/31 Jan - 1 Feb 2005 (boy)
28 Feb - 2 March 2005 (girl)
31 March - 2 April 2005 (boy)

OP posts:
RudyDudy · 13/12/2004 19:51

well happy new year to me then!! thanks for that sd - will let you know if anything happens.

btw - if it's not too faffy could you let me know when it was this month as I'm still waiting to test...

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 19:55

would've been right at the beginning of december RD and (according to this theory which please bear in mind may be completely whacko) would be a boy

OP posts:
RudyDudy · 13/12/2004 21:11

thanks for that spacedonkey. without wishing to sound too weird I'm interested in the moon and its relationship with the human body so am more than willing to give this a go. Besides, what does it really mean apart from possibly a few extra dates to BD Grin

spacedonkey · 13/12/2004 21:12

exackerly RD Grin good luck and enjoy!
