Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

I know this has been done before (so don't flame me!!) but can you definatley NOT get a false positive?

If you are pg, then hopefully that should be ok for moving. Possibly the extreme exhaustion stage though, in which case sit down and tell everyone else to do it

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 08:26

Soooo did you test this morning then? Hoping for that positive line again for you

SlugsNSnails · 26/02/2008 11:49

Congratulations Sparkles.

From what I have read (not an expert so could be wrong) there is no such thing as a false positive. What can happen is a chemical pg, so you are literally pg for a few days but it never implants properly so you just get a late period. This is normally what happens if a woman gets a "false" positive (either that or the test was out of date/read after too much time/mis-read etc). People can feel free to correct me if I am wrong, just really recycling advice I have heard on here before!

As you have now had 2 BFP's I think this is extrememly unlikely and it really does sound as if no 5 is on the way!

sparklesandwine · 26/02/2008 13:06

LOL yes it would appear so!

tis funny DP always wanted 5.... if i didn't know better i'd say he tricked me into it!!

it'll take a bit of getting use to i think but it will be ok, suppose i'd better make an appointment at the docs then

lollipopmother · 26/02/2008 14:14

Ohhh congratulations! I had the same thoughts when my partner pushed me into doing a test, I found one in the bottom of my draw that was over a year past it's expiry date and it came up BFP within about 10 secs, I decided it had gone off so had to get another, and another and another ... 5 in all actually!

sparklesandwine · 26/02/2008 14:18

lol lollipop when are you due?
