Letrozole days 6-10

Hi ladies, can I ask if anyone took letrozole cycle days 6-10 instead of 1-5 or 2-6?
my consultant sent through prescription today & said to start today - day 6 and follicle tracking scan then next Friday to see. However I’m Wondering should I wait until the next cycle.. pcos so ovulation all over the place anyway!

I am on either clomid or letrozole (I am participating in a blind study) due to PCOS too and my consultant wants I from 3-7 days……but because I didn’t get my prescription till cycle day 5 I was allowed to start it CD 5-9. I’m getting my progesterone levels checked tomorrow CD21 to see if it has worked 🤞🏼

Personally if your consultant is happy with you starting it on CD6 I wouldn’t delay till next cycle.

I’ve been googling away so good to hear other people have done those days, the norm seems to be earlier in the cycle but I don’t want to ‘waste’ a possible opportunity. My main issues is I’m away cd11-13 so missing 3 days. These days eoukd be really important if ovulated on day day 14 which I never had before. My consultant said more common to ovulate days 8-10 after last tablet which would leave me fine. Were you using ovulation strips? Or just waiting for the blood test to see if you did ovulate?

Yeah I was googling lots too lol. Yeah seems to be more the norm starting CD 2 or 3 but yeah definitely don’t want to be missing the opportunity. Just get busy right before you’re away and straight when your back 🤞🏼

So yeah I used OPKs use easy at home and for the first time ever I thought I would try the clear blue digital advance ovulation kit. I took my tablets from cd5 through to 9 (cycle day 9 for me was the 1st of July) and I got a flashing smiley face on the clear blue from the Tue 4th of July until Friday 7th I got my static smiley peak in the evening, and the easy at home strips I got my peak on early Saturday(8th) along with having a lot of ovulation pain on sat and sun so I’m so so hoping it really did work 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Next cycle (if I don’t get blessed with getting pregnant) I’ll start it of cycle day 3 like my constant first wanted. So I think I ovulated 8/9 days after the last tablet, but will be confirmed tomorrow.
