TTC baby #2 - Two week wait

Hi everyone ☺️ We’re trying to conceive baby number two and I’m currently in the two week wait. This is only my first cycle of trying but my little girl was a complete surprise so I’m feeling quite anxious about the whole thing, the whole waiting to test is killing me 🙈 Just wondered if anyone else is in the same boat? I’m about 4dpo according to my app, I haven’t tested for ovulation so not 100% sure but I’m usually pretty regular, due on my period 20th July. Xx

@naggy095 Hello! I do have a digital early test which I could take next Wednesday but I think if it comes back negative I wouldn't believe it (I never do) and I will just stress myself out until the day of my period.

Its a loosing battle for me 😂What about you?

@Lollipop96 haha I'm the exact same when I get negatives I don't believe it until AF arrives because I think I'm one of the ones that'll get a late BFP 😂 I hope that I can wait more than a couple days between testing if I get a BFN at 9dpo

@FoodFann I was super lucky and we didn’t actually try for her she was a surprise that wasn’t really a surprise 🙈 without being too tmi it was one time when we were too into it and I checked my phone after and realised I was ovulating 🤣 So I knew there was every chance we could have conceived but thought it was slim! Was still shocked when I decided to test a week late on my period and it said ‘pregnant 3+’ god knows why 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 so the tww is seeming extra hard as I didn’t have it with my first.

@naggy095 oh no hope you’re not feeling too bad? Did you tell them you were trying to conceive? I’m sure it will be fine but I understand the worry. Sending big hugs hope you feel better soon 💕
tbh I’ve been a wreck today I don’t know what’s wrong with me I’m so emotional and crying all day!! Suppose it could be hormones whether that’s pregnancy ones or PMS 😅

@katie416 I'm actually feeling ok thank you! My partner has it worse than me he's the one who rang the GP for the antibiotics, so he got me some too but didn't mention us TTC. My very little research online suggests I should be ok 😅 however, and I'm actually not a superstitious person at all really, I just had a single magpie land in front of my window I was standing at so now I'm like ok I'm definitely out this month already 😂

Hey, hope you don't mind me jumping on here? I'm in the same boat as you guys etc. Number 2, not sure how many DPO exactly as we'd only started to discuss trying. I only realised we DtD over rough ovulation window after looking at calendar and backtracking my cycles 🙈 due AF on 18/19th I think...

I keep telling myself off for symptom spotting but I'm really feeling like I did with my DD, though I just thought I was ill/run down back then, as she was a surprise! Or it could be psychosomatic, who knows! Didn't test then until missed period, but I've already tested this time because I have no will power 😂 blatently too early anyway and not even with an early response, going to wait a few more days... well done to all of you for managing to wait!!!

also... excuse my not knowing, but what does FRER stand for?

@Moominmamma321 Haha that well done is definitely not for me as I’ve also tested twice with strips and it’s been a big fat not pregnant both times! 🤣 obviously not reliable but I deffo don’t feel pregnant. My boobs are killing but they always do before my period so nothing out of the ordinary! With my first I tested about a week after I was due on and got the darkest line ever but no wonder! It was on an early response as well which I clearly didn’t need 🙈
I haven’t tested for a few days now I’m debating getting an early response today but idk. I feel so anxious about it all 😂
FRER = first response early result, it’s a brand of tests! Xx

Hey, hope I can hop on with you lovely ladies! We're on cycle 2 ttc baby number 2! First cycle ended in a chemical. I have 1 DS already who is 18 months and I'm a SAHM! I'm currently I'm guessing 5DPO! Going to try and hold out till I miss my period to test but I doubt that's going to be possible 🤦🏼‍♀️ @katie416 my first symptom with my son was sore boobs so fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@katie416 haha glad I'm not the only one. I was same with DD, line came up before control line, so it's weird getting negatives but still possibly being pregnant... I think I may just be going mad. Tried telling myself I'm not on repeat today to see if the symptoms disappear 🙈😂 I'm currently bloated, nauseous in waves, incredibly tired and achey breasts- the latter 2 I usually get now but I've had them for well over a week... I mean we'll be pretty frickin lucky to get preggo before we've actually started trying properly!

In fairness a lot of people say they had no symptoms before bfp so could go either way for all of us at this point. Good luck to all x

Hey.. I wondered if I could dip a toe in the TTC/TWW world.. Just a bit of background, I had an anembryonic pregnancy which I miscarried naturally 2 weeks ago.. So naturally reading up on things I've realised there's a chance I could get pregnant during that time, so we started DTD a week ago, I was also told by the EPU that I could start trying whenever I felt able to again.. So currently not putting too much pressure on myself, as I haven't had a period yet & I would feel fine about not falling straight away & having a period as then I'd be able to track on dates etc! But hey ho! No harm in trying 🙈
If anyone's had any experience & has advice for me I'd appreciate it. Or even just Kind words, or a kick up the butt that would also be fine 🤣

@Moominmamma321 I’ll be honest I’m in a rut now I should not have tested this early because I’ve made myself upset that it was negative 😩 like you when I tested with my daughter it was test line before control line but obviously it would be as I was over a week late on my period! I need to get a grip 🤣
We’re still in until af shows up!! Fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏼x

@katie416 don’t worry we’ve all been there! This is the hardest part now because you’re so close to knowing but no far away at the same time! Fingers crossed tightly for you!

we went to our friends gender reveal and we were excited and hopeful our time will come but still find it depleting!

On a lighter note my 3 year old told me today to 'eat something and stop being cranky'...wonder if that's a symptom too 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I got a BFN this morning, not even a squinter, think I'm 11dpo. It wasn't a FRER but assuming I'm probably out this month... think I've been imaging symptoms for myself the last few days, as you do! Which is annoying as I wasn't actively tracking this month. Oh well! Will see if AF appears on Tues...

@Pandabumbles might be better for our sanity to not hope then get a nice surprise I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ In the grand scheme of things I know someone who swears she "knew after conception" and someone else who had a cryptic pregnancy... absolutely normal until she was giving birth, including light periods! So who the flip knows 😂

@Moominmamma321 Haha I know everyone is so different with it all! This was my second cycle TTC and previous pregnancies were on 2nd cycle so think I was just expecting the same again. I know that's super unrealistic. Especially as I'm 39 now, my eggs are probs a bit more worn out that last time! ;)

How is everyone? 🥰 I’m 10dpo today done a test with fmu and it was extremely negative 😂 I think I might go & get a FRER and if that’s negative then just wait until my period is due see if it turns up. I’m hoping one of us gets a positive at least 🤞🏼xx

Also does anyone use mom med strip tests? Cos that’s what I’m currently using and don’t actually know how good they are. Amazon had mixed reviews. If not, what are you all testing with?

@katie416 have you look at the boots early detection?
These ones are supposedly quite good especially as FRER are really difficult to get hold of right now.

I am 10dpo but I'm holding off testing still.
I don't feel like this is my month
So maybe I'm holding off ghe disappointment

@FinallyMrsT I didn’t know FRER were hard to get hold of but makes sense as I haven’t been able to get one today! Was thinking of ordering off Amazon but bought some from Asda that you’re meant to be able to take 4 days earlier, which I am, still a BFN. Feeling so shite!! 😂 Might have to try the Boots ones x

@katie416 I bought some boots ones after recommendations on mn but havnt used them yet... dont wana waste them. Yano that gut feeling thag says not yet. Not sure what's happened to FRER on shelves though.

@FinallyMrsT I'm the same! Bought some with the recommendations but I'm trying to hold off as much as I can but now it's creeping up closer my mind is now starting to be consumed!

Has anyone had their BFP yet? Who still has willpower and is holding off to test? 😂 still very negative here at 11dpo so I think I’m out 🙈x

8dpo today was going to test tomorrow but think I'll wait till 10dpo 😬 I have no symptoms at all this TWW though, last cycle I had loads by 8dpo. I've had some very mild cramping this morning which has stopped now but that's it

Still BFN this morning too so assuming I'm out. Still weirdly feel pregnant so wondering if it's a CP 🤷🏻‍♀️
Also weirdly the clear blue I used almost looked like it was coming up with a plus line then it disappeared 🤦🏻‍♀️ might use different tests in future...
