Folllwing this! Im going to start clomid on my next cycle so the end of this month 🤞
What strength and days are you taking it on?

PinkMandalorian · 08/07/2023 22:44

@Huriya Hi and welcome:)

I'm been on 50mg for all my cycles.

First cycle I ovulated cd19 BFN

Second cycle , ovulated cd31 which I feel is late and they said my follicle was abnormal.. Needless to say big fat negative.

I'm now on my third cycle and tomorrow will be my last tablet . I'm taking it from days 3-7

Hey, how are you feeling after the clomid cycle? Did you experience any symptoms?

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 11/07/2023 12:13

Just popping in to say hi and good luck. I had a successful pregnancy with Clomid and my little girl is now five. I’m waiting to see a consultant on Thursday to see if I can be prescribed it again to try for number 2. I’m now 38 and have heard they are more reluctant to prescribe for “geriatric” mothers so crossing my fingers.
Hope you’re feeling okay @PinkMandalorian and this is your month for a BFP.
Good luck with your first cycle @Huriya - I conceived my daughter on my first cycle so it does happen.

Huriya · 11/07/2023 12:40

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine Thank you so much, its nice to hear positive stories. Do you recall any side effects from clomid?
Im only 27 wasnt getting anywhere with the GP so ive ended up getting clomid whilst I was abroad. Did see a dr out there tho.
Also do you remember if you were on 50mg or 100mg?.

Hi everyone, my cycles are all over the place, vary in lengths, ovulation comes at different points, I’m 32. Been TTC for 8 months. At what point should I go to the dr and would clomid help? Thank you x

Huriya · 11/07/2023 13:51

Hello @FoodFann, im guessing youve tried ovulation strips etc to determine when youre ovulating. Id say go to the doctors and see what they say. Call it naughty but I lied to mine and said it had been a year TTC (had been around 7months). They did bloods and I ended up having high prolactin. Waited 6 months to see a consultant who did more bloods on day 5 and day 21 of cycle. He ended up prescribing cabergoline but I still didnt fall pregnant.
Just going from the GP to getting prescribed cabergoline took around 8 months id say. But if I didnt tell a little lie I would of been waiting a few more months.

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 11/07/2023 19:30

@Huriya I didn’t get any negative symptoms - just symptoms of my cycle changing/ovulating which were unusual for me as I don’t usually ovulate but obviously they were welcome as that was the whole point 😊 How are you feeling?

I think I started on 50mg and was told I’d be put up to 100mg in month 4 if I hadn’t conceived. Don’t blame you at all for saying you’d been TTC a little bit longer than you had - I waited a full year and was told by my GP I should have come sooner! We’ve gone private now as I cannot get any further fertility treatment on NHS as I have a child already and those are the rules in my area (which is fair enough).

@FoodFann I’d do as suggested by Huriya and go to GP - tell them you’ve been TTC for a year. You’re not hurting anyone. They will test to see if you’re ovulating (with a blood test) and if not reliably, they may well prescribe Clomid.

FoodFann · 12/07/2023 14:21

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine and @Huriya thank you so much for your advice. I will probably go and ask the dr to get the ball rolling soon for tests etc.

Yes I am using OPK strips, but I’ll start tracking BBT too, next cycle.

I’m up for it, but I can’t lie because I gave birth immediately before starting this TTC journey 😅

Best of luck to you both ✨🤞🏻

Hi
I’ve just completed my first cycle of Clomid and I’m 7 dpo. My nipples are so tender and I feel very wet down stairs. I’m just wondering if anyone else experienced feelings like this on Clomid? Hoping I might be P xxxxx
