TTC - Question about Ovulation Test

I am 5 days out from my period and randomly decided to take a pregnancy test and ovulation test. Pregnancy test came back negative :( but the ovulation test came back almost positive with a fairly dark second line. I see a fertility doctor who confirmed that I did in fact ovulate around day 13 of my cycle and we did what we needed to do.

Could this possibly mean I am pregnant but not enough hCG in my urine yet for the pregnancy test to be positive? I tried Google but couldn't find anything about ovulation test results taken 5 days before period.

Your LH can surge after ovulation so it might not mean anything.

But also you’re not due your period for
another 5 days - a negative pregnancy test at this stage doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant.

I know it’s not helpful, but the best thing you can do is hold off and do another hpt in a few days.

Good luck - I’ll keep everything crossed for you!

is hard but wait until your period is at least one day late. I only got the faintest positive the day period was due, and it took a week to get a solid line.
