2 LH surges

For the past 2 months I've been put on the highest dose of Folic acid and Iron to help my aneamia. Since taking them, I've noticed 2 LH surges in 1 cycle, my period lasts 5 days but the surge starts on day 7/8 dies down abit then starts up on 13/14.
Has this happened to anyone else ?

Yeah I've had this, sometimes your body tries and fails to ovulate so then it tries again. Unsure if the high doses would have an impact on this but this can happen.

Ah I see, I've never really had it before and didn't know that could happen. I had a MC in January since then my body has been pretty funky ever since.

Yea this month I had peel on day 7,8,9 then day 12,13 but I ovulated on the day 13. I know because I am checking my temperature. Also just ordered test to check if I ovulated at all on day 21 🙏🏻

I think it’s common to have LH go up and down throughout the cycle. I saw somewhere a description of different types where some people have a slow gradual single surge and peak, others have multiple peaks, some have a very quick peak etc. Don’t have the link I’m afraid. Main thing is though that LH peak doesn’t necessarily mean ovulation happened which is why temping and other signs are useful in combination with it.

@Ks2023 ah, I haven't started to check my temperature at all. Would you recommend it? Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@CurlyWurly1991 I think I'll have to start taking my temperature. That would"ve been an interesting read, thank you for sharing though. Bodies are so strange sometimes, just when you think you have it sussed, it changes. Can ovulation happen before a peak?

@Pips2023 I find it’s actually helps to know for sure when you ovulating if you have more than 1 peak. And you actually can see if your periods coming so you don’t have to test and wonder if it’s BFN or BFP. My BBT drops normally on 10dpo so I know my periods around the corner
