Today I went to the store to buy a pregnancy test as I am currently on day 2 of my missed period, however whilst I was in the store I purchased a FSH test (menopause test) which I thought at the time was a pregnancy test I was not paying close attention 🤦🏻‍♀️
When I arrived at home and tested the test came back positive? It was at that time I realised it was not a pregnancy test and was actually a FSH test!

I'm quite confused as I am 22 years old and am trying to understand how it could be possible to get a positive FSH test I have regular periods and have been pregnant once before but sadly miscarried at 7 weeks and 6 days.

Could anyone please explain to me what the reason behind this positive FSH test may mean and why it's showing positive?
Could I be pregnant?

I will be going to purchase a pregnancy test after work later today but would like some help to understand why am FSH test came back positiveConfused

Thank you guys Smile

Hi @abbygail2000 did you get to the bottom of this?

I have just had the same happen to me, very surprised to see positive fsh test at age 31!

Have you pursued any further tests? I’ve just booked to see the dr next week 😓

@FoodFann
UPDATE**
I wasn't pregnant I got my period two days later,
I don't think that the FSH test can detect whether you are infertile and going through menopause I think it just detects how much FSH is in your system, whether you're menopausing or not you'll always have traces of FSH in your system so I personally wouldn't reply on these text to determine if you are going through menopause

Hi @abbygail2000 that’s positive! I’ve booked to see the dr next week, so fingers crossed you’re correct and this is just a one-off high reading 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤞🏻
