My cycles are 31-33 days

This month I had EWCM on days 14 and 15

dtd on cycle days 13, 18 and 19 as dh was away with work some days. I feel like I may have missed the right days or does sperm always survive for 5 days ? I’m so confused please help. This is cycle 20 as well so feeling a bit lost. Had investigations at the 12 month mark and everything was fine

Hi @whereistheegg !

So EWCM would be indicative of peak fertility meaning you probably ovulated between cycle days 14-16 (I presume you've not used opks or bbt to track?) This isn't always a fail safe so using other methods to get a better idea of exact ovulation dates could be helpful.

Your fertile days are the days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation (and possibly one after depending on individual surge and ovulation timings as the egg can survive up to 24hrs). This would mean you're in with a shot from the cd13 DTD but probably not cd18/19 (unless you ovulated later than you thought).

As you say, sperm can survive for up to 5 days (not always). However, they obviously need an egg to meet for that to be relevant. DTD 5 days before ovulation (so possibly cd10 for you) could have put you in with a shot.

Hope that all makes sense?

Optimal DTD for you if you ovulated cd15 would probably look like DTD on cd10, cd12, CD14, cd15, CD16.

Sorry it's taking you so long. That must be so frustrating. Sending lots of luck for this cycle! It only takes once and cd13 was probs right in your fertile window 🤞🏻
