LH test strip

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if you think this LH test is high/positive? I've never had a strip so dark but the Premom app rated it 'low' (0.66) so I'm a bit confused.

Hi @Ttcmumma, thank you for your reply! I thought it looked quite dark too but I was stumped by the app's reading. I would change it manually but I'm not sure what number to give it! x

That wouldn't be a peak for me, but I've seen people on here say before that they never get a positive so I think it must vary x

Okay, thank you @honeybeeeee. I've BD anyway just in case it could be high x

Have you used them for a few cycles? And are you temping? I ask because you'll get a better idea of what's high/peak for you if you've got previous cycles to look back on & establish the pattern. Temping confirms when ovulation has likely taken place so you'll get a more accurate idea of your fertile days. Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here 😂 I just had no idea when I started tracking! X

Ttcmumma · 03/07/2023 15:53

My natural cycles app would put that down as positive I've concieved 3 times too so it can't be that wrong x

@honeybeeeee I've been testing since beginning of May so about two months. I've never had a test strip look this dark but I've had higher ratios from the Premom app so I'm a bit confused! I started BBT yesterday so I don't think this cycle will really confirm anything sadly.

@Ttcmumma Fingers crossed then! Thank you :)

That's a peak I'd say

honeybeeeee · 03/07/2023 18:44

@cth96 I will say that the premom app wasn't always consistent with their ratios for me! It would give different readings sometimes minutes apart! The lighting would impact it too. I think you can manually mark it as a peak x

cth96 · 04/07/2023 16:27

Thank you everyone :) I think it was my peak or I peaked overnight because the tests are a bit lighter today. I guess we'll see in two weeks if AF comes.

@Ttcmumma have you found the NC app worth the money?

@cth96 yeah, I pay £8.99 a month. It doesn't give you the exact readings of LH tests, like any numbers it just says negative or positive. I just find it a decent way to keep track of everything. Helped me fall pregnant last year but unfortunately lost that baby at 14 weeks hence back trying again! I've used it for bbt, LH tests, remembering when my cycle even started, days I've had sex etc. If you use it consistently it's pretty reliable and tends to know my cycle well. I barely added any data for a month or two recently and it was abit rubbish then but that was my fault!
