Positive test, negative an hour later

Hi all, this morning to my utter shock, I had my first ever natural positive pregnancy test. It was feint, but there, as soon as the liquid absorbed and after, and still is. However, I took a test an hr or 2 later, and it's negative. Please say there's a possibility it could still be positive, surely I couldn't have lost hcg in in such a short space of time?

There was def pink dye, not an indent. I have FRER arriving tomorrow.

I'm desperate for a positive, after 4 years and ivf fir my first, I so desperately wanted this to be real. Will add pics;

There's typically more HCG in first morning urine, I believe. So your experience would make sense.

When was your period due?

Test 1; 13 dto

Period due in 2-5 days

Honestly I don't know what an indent looks like.

It's likely the urine was more concentrated for the first test.

I know it's not easy but wait until tomorrow morning (or even the day after tomorrow if you can) and test again.

At this point hcg is still very low and after a 1-2 hour hold the hcg doesn’t have time to build up enough to show a positive. If you want to test midday try for a 4-5 hour hold with limited liquid intake.

Thanks all - so hard to wait... I've tested again and there is some semblance of a line but way after 5 mins. I've also now had some brown and then pink discharge - could be an early period or could be implantation 🤷‍♀️ why is waiting so hard?!
