112 day cycle

yesterday was day 112 of my cycle…

I have a history of PCOS, been TTC for 22 months.

we get married on 8th July, yesterday was CD1. Had terrible cramp and quite heavy bleeding since.

any success stories from anything similar? Technically speaking I should ovulate whilst on honeymoon but given I’ve not have regular cycles since the beginning of the year I’m not hopeful, just hoping for a few regular cycles.

I have 24-40+ day cycles due to PCOS. My most regular cycles were when I was taking Metformin (prescribed to regulate hormones/ovulation) in order to conceive (I had two successful pregnancies, having conceived while taking Metformin). In your shoes I'd see the GP, mention that you've been trying for 22 months and you'd like to try to regulate your cycle.

I hope this cycle is the beginning of a more regular pattern for you (and congratulations on your upcoming wedding) 🌸

@Poppins2016 thank you for this.

I’ve already had a referral to our local fertility centre and they have run all the tests with normal results.
they’ve told me they won’t do anything until my bmi is below 30.

I wonder if the GP would prescribe metformin? It might be worth trying with them once we’re back from honeymoon.

The GP prescribed the Metformin for me, so I think it would be worth a try (especially as it may help to reduce BMI in order to facilitate treatment at the clinic if ncessary).

That’s great thank you.
I’ll give it a try x

Hi! @Ncl31 so I was never diagnosed with anything but prior to dc1 I had cycles that varied from 35-124 days. For 2 years we did "not try not prevent" but then I decided to track EVERYTHING, bbt, cm, opks and took preconception vitamins and got my dp to as well. We caught on our second cycle of tracking etc. My sons now 2.5yrs old and I've recently found out I'm pregnant with dc2 and didn't need to track as since getting my periods back after pregnancy and stopping breastfeeding they have been regular.
So although I don't have pcos my cycles were awful but we did get pregnant.
