Positive test but bad cramping???

Hi All!

I'm 14 dpo and just tested for the first time and got a BFP!!!

Only thing is I've had mega cramps the last 4 days - been really bad today. I'm just worried as I had a MMC 5 months ago and had cramping then too.. seems unusual.. I thought implantation cramps were meant to be lighter than period cramps..

Has anyone else had cramping like this and it been ok? Xx

Congratulations on your BFP! I can only say my experience, I'm now on second pregnancy (first was ectopic) and on both occasions I didn't test until after period was due because I was getting what I thought were period cramps in the 2-3 days before period was due, and these continued for about 2 weeks following my missed period. I've had 2 scans this pregnancy (now 7+4) is definately not ectopic - they said the cramping is just your womb expanding ready for baby to start growing and is totally normal.

My cramps were perhaps not painful but certainly uncomfortable (much like my period paids), if it was very painful you probably should call your EPU for a scan to check for any issues, particularly if you are worried because of your earlier loss.

Congratulations! I had lots of cramps when I was pregnant with my son. I'd say they were more painful than period pains too! That's a very strong line 😍

Like the previous poster said, definitely contact your early pregnancy unit of you're concerned. But in my experience this is normal! X

Well I had a MC at 5 weeks and 5 days and didn't cramp much.

I've had 2 successful pregnancies and had intense cramping throughout!

Oh thankyou so much that's really reassuring! I had two chemicals last couple of months too so very nervous ...

My cramps were so horrific they woke me up from sleep and make me feel sick. All fine in the end.

In the same boat this month, 10 DPO and sore b00bz but feels like a lot of cramping! See test attached, very faint line but it’s there! Previously had an ectopic and so paranoid about the pains 😟
