Private fertility in UK

Does anyone have any experience with private fertility consultants in the UK?

Having initial testing with GP at the moment, one more round of blood tests and I am hoping to know the root cause of infertility. (Potentially progesterone predators).
The way I was explained how treatment is prescribed is that the GP has to get their recommendation prescription “approved” by fertility doctors. I’m unsure how long this would all take.

I’m thinking about going private for speed but would the private consultant want to do their own blood tests anyway?

Hi we have done NHS and private fertility treatment, the private clinic redid all of the NHS tests themselves, which you had to pay for.

We used Manchester Fertility and would highly recommend them if they're close enough to you.

I went through similar, but this was just pre-covid. My GP did a day 21 blood test- that was it! I'd TTC 4yrs and he kept telling me to just relax!
I had all other tests- hycosy, AMH, STI/thyroid type bloods, semen analysis etc ALL done abroad privately. I worked there part of each year anyways.

On my return to the UK, and seeing a different GP, he referred me NHS fertility. I think the fertility clinic did a blood test, but nothing else was repeated at all from all the private things I'd had done. I had 1 round of IVF on the NHS and others paid for.
