Hi all
come and chat in my new thread if you have conceived after stopping pill straight away would love to hear stories of how long it took you to conceive
and anyone like me trying for a baby straight after coming off of the pill

i am trying for baby n.o 2 already have a dd who is 2 and a half years old
stopped last pill packet on the 23rd of jan
had very light period for two days on the 26th of jan, that is the date of my last period.
started bd on 31st of jan then have been trying on all my most fertile days.
today is cd 28 sop took test first thing this morning bfn as npo period has shown
have had the following symptoms:-

on feb 2nd had awful cramps and diahhrea.
on feb 8th mildder cramps.
have had on and off mild cramps,headaches,
stitches on one side,diahhrea,forgetfullnes(keep doing silly things),had a cold this week,bloated tummy and white plus clear mucus

any comments

also tummy feels heavy like i am pregnant
have also started eating fruit which i hate and going off of chocolate also really tired and nhave nausea

I came off pill and started trying straight away for dc1. Got pg immediately which I didn't expect- was planning on keeping a record of my cycle etc so that I would fine it easier to work out when I was fertile (always been quite irregular- long cycles) However I didn't need to. Can't remember having any other symptoms.

wow you did get pregnant quickly, read that you can be extra fertile straight after pill
you didnt have any periods then before you got pregnant were you late then? is that how you knew to test and that you were pregnant and no symptoms between stopping pill and getting pregnant?

I got pregnant straight away after coming off the pill.
I didn't have any symptoms at all.

when should i next test ?
was going to test in a week if no af which would be cd35

I suppose you maybe pregnant. If no AF shows up in a week or so do another test.

I also got pregnant straight after coming ff the pill - no bleed, or real symptoms but like you lots of clear EWM. I was so sure my period would arrive (bad cramps) but twas not to be and said dd is 5 now . I'd say your plan to test in a week is wise - bet you don't hold out that long .

I conceived in my second cycle after stopping the pill. I was convinced I hadn't conceived as I had and achey pre-menstrual feeling but got bfp at 31 days.

I've been trying since Oct. Came off the mini-pill and started trying straight away. My cycle has been pretty consistant but I did get all excited the first month when my period was 5 days late. Am still trying.

im trying to tcc, came off the pill mid sept and still have not had af. Im really frustrated. Ive been to the docs and they have checked my hormone levels and said all was ok. I didnt go back and see them after i got the blood test results.

hopefully things will sort themselves out soon @ least you saw dr so that you know that everything is ok

i am on cd 30 still no af and no normal signs of it coming not moody or crampy.
probably be delayed due to stopping pill 2!

I stopped pill mid September. Didn't try for 1st month as wanted to see what a 'normal' cycle was like. Was 39 days which I was told was pretty good for 1st month off pill.

Fell pregnant following month. Really didn't expect it, am now 17 weeks

I had lots of CM, was more liquidy than normal.

hi - I came off the pill about 28 days ago, and have had all sorts of pregnancy like symptoms over the past week - i.e. sore boobs, mild cramping etc. I thought it was my period coming, but it didnt' arrive, so I did a pregnancy test which was negative. However, I then did an ovulation predictor a few days ago, and I got a positive result, so I am hoping that means that I have just ovulated and these symptoms are due to that instead....so now I have to wait another 2 weeks until I should have a period, which would mean I would be on day 42!!!! Fingers crossed as I don't know how many months of this "must BD all the time" pressure I can take! It really takes the fun out of it and it's only been one month!!!

First time I was ttc, we got pregnant first time. Unfortunately mc at 8 weeks (don't let that discourage you), but then happily conceived 6 weeks after mc and now have a happy (mostly) healthy DS who is 16 months

I also got pregnant with DS1 and DS2 pretty quickly after coming off the pill, though with one mc in between. Both times I had a really long wait for my first AF after stopping the pill (or in the case of the mc, after the D&C). But in all instances, I think i got pregnant the 2nd time round which is pretty good going considering i have endometriosis AND only have one fallopian tube that works!!! hoepfully it will be quick this time too, as I really want another baby!!!
