Hey all,

I came off the pill after 13 years at the end of February and have been TTC since then. I’ve noticed my cycles have been quite irregular (28-34 days) and often I don’t get a positive LH strip until later in the cycle (day 24/27 this month etc…).

I spoke to a doctor about it and she referred me for some bloods- progesterone serum level which came back at 2.0 nmol/l on both day 21 and and 25. I went in again on day 29 and I’ve just had another message saying they’re abnormal.

I feel so anxious about what’s going on- has anyone else ever experienced this? Im having periods as usual every month so it just seems so strange.

Just seen the day 29 bloods (think I ovulated on day 27) and they’ve risen to 8 nmol/l… not sure what that means but at least they’re rising slightly

im not expert but didn’t want to read and dash / it could be anovulation, so you might simply not be ovulating a mature egg every month?
but you might be alternate months - it’s tricky because unless you blood test or scan ovaries every time you’re expecting to ovulate or afterward - you’d never know for definite.

I am in stages where they’re assuming I don’t ovulate every month, I had serum levels back all normal, consistent period dates and lengths but still no pregnancy after a long journey, so my only advice is push push and advocate for more investigation

but I’d ask for some scans or gynaecologist next steps :)

Just to add my layer blood test had a higher progesterone level of 25 nmol/l which is promising!

Just thought I’d follow up on this incase anyone is feeling how I was back in may and is losing hope… I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant and it did happen for me! So good luck to everyone else in the same boat, it’s worth the wait to get that positive test believe me! ❤️
