TWW: testing July weekend

Anyone else holding off to test this weekend, 1st / 2nd July?

I'm on CD26 of a fairly regular 30 day cycle.

I haven't been using OPKs this time around, but I've done it obsessively before so know I ovulate late, (around day 20-21,) so I'm potentially only 5DPO.

Planning to try and hold out til Sunday 2nd July to test... which would be CD31 / 10DPO.

I swore this time around I'd be really chilled about this and not think about it, but it's so hard, and I don't know how I'm going to get through this week!

Anyone else trying to get to the weekend?
Looking for company and distraction!

Hello, I'm 2/3dpo today so thinking of testing on Sunday as I'm going away on Monday so would love to join if I can?

lalalandara · 26/06/2023 16:50

@mummytom90 of course! Hope you're away somewhere nice?!

I'm driving myself mad trying to work out how early is reasonable to test, despite trying to tell myself not to be ridiculous and to wait til Sunday.

@lalalandara just a staycation haha but with a lot of family so don't want to be testing really ( I probably will mind 🙈 ) the earliest to test I would say 8dpo but obviously do what you feel is best 💕 do you have any children or
are you TTC your first? Any symptoms at all yet?

lalalandara · 26/06/2023 17:23

Oh yeah I can see why you'd ideally want to test before that!! 🙈

I have a DD of 19 months 💕She was conceived in lockdown etc, so I was a bit out of my mind and quite focussed on TTC - I said I'd not be the same again but it's so hard once you start overthinking. So far I just feel quite bloated, but that could be normal!

What about you? Any symptoms? Do you have any children or is this TTC #1?

@lalalandara ah lovely! I have a 7 month old I know I'm crazy 🙈 I had 3 miscarriages before he was conceived so we've decided better to start trying sooner rather than later incase we go through it again. I know it's crazy how obsessive it becomes isn't it! I think it's a bit early for symptoms for me yet tbh glad we have this thread to discuss it all though

CurlyWurly1991 · 26/06/2023 18:21

I’ll join! Don’t think I will be testing by the weekend as only 4dpo now and usually have a luteal phase of about 12 days, so will be trying to hold off til then - if I can manage it!
Distracted at work today and just have no motivation for anything!

mummytom90 · 27/06/2023 08:01

@CurlyWurly1991 hello, at least we can keep each other company 😊

lalalandara · 30/06/2023 15:30

So I couldn't wait til Sunday.... tested this afternoon and have the faintest blue line 😳 Honestly can't believe it.
