Got my BFP this morning on typically the month I didn't try. Only DTD twice and didn't track ovulation.

Got quite the line on the cheapys (which I have never got) followed by a 2-3 weeks on digital.

I'm assuming I ovulated on day 21ish as I always do but that would leave me 12DPO do these tests match up? How many weeks am I, has been 9 years nearly from I was pregnant so have forgot how to add dates. 36 day cycle with day 21 ovulation mostly.

The tests do seem to match up to me. Also 2-3 weeks on digital means 5 weeks pregnant (you add 2 weeks). You get that around the time of your missed period

Pollywoddles · 23/06/2023 01:18

If you were 12 dpo yesterday (13 today) then you’re 3+6 pregnant today, 4 weeks tomorrow. They count 2 weeks prior to ovulation no matter how long it takes.

BudgetBuster · 23/06/2023 08:02

What date was your last period? 2-3 weeks means you are between 4 and 5 weeks 😀

Kirstylvsya · 23/06/2023 09:14

This is what's confusing me. Some people are saying I'm 3 weeks 4 days. Some are saying 5 weeks. How do I know? Confused

When was the first day of your last period? That's how you would date it.

BudgetBuster · 23/06/2023 09:29

When was the first day of your last period? That's how you would date it.

But not if she ovulated late and has a long cycle. You only count 14 days before ovulation otherwise someone who ovulates on day 30 of a 42 day cycle would already be more than 6 weeks pregnant by the time they get a positive test and that’s not the case.

There’s no real way of knowing if you haven’t accurately tracked ovulation. Looking at your BD dates you can’t be any more than 4 weeks but your results seem very strong for that.

Kirstylvsya · 23/06/2023 10:46

@BudgetBuster 21st May. But I ovulate on day 21 so not your standard cycle. My chart is attached in photos

@Pollywoddles it's the strong BFP that's throwing me. Online calculator is saying conception date around 13th June which would make me 10DPO.

I’d say if anything you ovulated slightly earlier than CD21 and conceived on the 9th/10th.

They’ll date you at your scan anyway so I wouldn’t worry about it. Congratulations!

Kirstylvsya · 23/06/2023 11:13

@Pollywoddles possibly. Will book an early scan just to make sure everything's okay,

Thank you x

@Pollywoddles Yes but at this early stage without actually having a scan doctors will date from LMP.

Did you track ovulation? It's likely here that you actually ovulated earlier than normal (which isn't unusual). Going by LMP you would be 4w6d which matches up with your digital test.

Kirstylvsya · 23/06/2023 11:52

@BudgetBuster I could have. I only DTD CD 20 so that's the earliest I could have ovulated, unless CD19 and the egg hung around? I'm out of touch with all this hence why I'm confused.
