Running and TTC

Hi all- just wondering what people think about excercise and TTC. I know moderate excercise is generally considered to be a good thing. I try to run about 1 hour 2-4 times a week. I wonder if running at certain times is bad ie around implantation or ovulation. Any thoughts?

Ps I would search this, but the search facility isn't working!

Hi Lulu

I am a regular runner - and it's absolutely fine.

The key thing is that you shouldn't start any strenuous exercise or seriously try and build up your current programme - but if you are already fit and healthy and a keen runner then there is no harm in continuing. I am TTC and two doctors have told me this.

this is interesting to read. I'm not sure what to make of the study.

Thanks Nancy- that's what I thought and I have continued running. But today I am sure I OV'ed and did the deed earlier today (TMI!) and so am debating whether to take it easy today or just to go out for a run!
