Chemical pregnancy

I am 9 months pp and have been taking the mini pill since. For a few days I had been experiencing early pregnancy symptoms like I had with my first so flippantly took a test. Expected it to be negative since I’ve not missed any pills, been sick etc. It came back positive right away. I followed this up with another 4, all positive (I was shocked). Fast forward to this morning (next day) and my tests have lightened significantly to the point of being negative. Is this a chemical pregnancy? I have no bleeding or cramping etc. when would it start if this was a chemical? I also feel horrendous guilt that this might have happened because I was taking the pill. Any help or advice welcome and appreciated. 🙏😢

Hi, sorry to hear, chemical pregnancy is not easy emotionally
I am just going through another one. I was positive on 11dpo, then from 12dpo had all symptoms of being pregnant, teats for next 2 days positive (I did digital as didnt want a doubt of reading lines), then on Sunday I noticed no sensitivity in breasts and strong PMS symptom..did tests - all negative. Today started my AF (1 day later due day)
With chemicals the bleed starts fast if the pregnancy was a few days, or if it was week or 2 then first hormones should go down (which takes longer). I had 5 so far :( due to age 41, all a bit different
Also with chemicals nothing can stop them...
So don't be harsh to yourself ❤️

Thank you for your reply, that’s really helpful. I’m sorry you are going through that again. That’s hard going 5 times.
I feel emotionally horrible today but unsure if it’s worry or hormones. I have no idea when I ovulated as I wasn’t tracking so unsure how pregnant I even was/am. Hopefully I’ll know one way or the other soon.

As an amendment to this. I have just tested again this afternoon and they are back to being as positive as yesterday. Has anyone had any experience with this? Photo 1 was yesterday’s tests. Photo 2 is my test this morning compared to yesterday’s and photo 3 is this afternoon.

I think it depends how much fluid you had, might influence the concentration of the hormone

I got frustrated with these tests and got digital.. the one that gives plus or says pregnant

TT82 · 20/06/2023 14:56

But given you don't know your ovulation day..maybe also check with digital?
Any other symptoms- breast sensitivity, tiredness, midnight urgency to pee? (Sorry I usually have these 🙈)

I know, that’s it exactly. When there’s lines it open to interpretation and fluid level affecting it doesn’t help either. I’ve ordered a digital for tomorrow. I have all the same pregnancy symptoms I had with my first. That’s what made me check in the first place. The tiredness is next level and the first symptom for me with my first pregnancy was things totally changed taste and that’s happened again. I suppose it’s just a waiting game now. Thank you again for taking time to reply to me.

I had my first positive pregnancy test last month for about a week. Then I started to cramp on a Sunday with light bleeding in the morning and by 1 I was bleeding more than I usually do on my period. Went to the doctor and they did a urine test which showed I was no longer pregnant and said I had a chemical pregnancy. So if the tests are still positive and you haven't started bleeding yet, then there's still hope everything will be alright.
