Even my flo app has started my tww thing today!
It might not be totally accurate considering I've come off birth control... but always chance so worth seeing :)

Anyone else want to join me and chat during this wait Smile

What's your experiences been like with the tww?

Any notable symptoms toward the end?

Hey guys, hope ye don't mind me joining. I am about 3 DPO I think. We have been trying since July 2022 but suffered two miscarriages during that and then it took a wee while for my cycle to regulate again. Only DTD once this fertile period though as I was away without DH so not hopeful. We are going on holidays next week so trying to keep myself busy packing and unpacking and then packing again 😂

Of course we don't mind you joining! Smile and I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I hope all goes well for this time, and a holiday is great for de-stressing and taking your mind off such. Grin

Hello! May I please join? I’m on my first proper tww and am 7po. No symptoms but have had a really sore throat last few days (probably unrelated) so have been feeling v tired.

just really looking for some people to talk to. Some people know we’re ttc but I haven’t told anyone I’m in tww.

has anyone else told family and friends they are ttc? It doesn’t seem to be the done thing but I felt like it was good for them to know?

sending baby dust to all ✨✨✨

DaenerysT · 22/06/2023 18:43

Hello! No I haven’t told family. Some friends know, one is TTC herself.

i have had a load of pain/bloating. I assume it’s just normal for me as I get it often. But worried it means there’s something bad going on and implantation won’t happen… DPO 5 now. How the days drag.

ive told my siblings and my mum pretty much knows and then just a few friends. To be fair, people don’t ask about it much and I don’t mind if they do because it’s good to talk about it.

The days are seriously dragging. I just wish if I was going to get my period that it would come so I could move on. Will you test early do you think? I’ve decided not to but it’s hard…

hope the bloating and pain aren’t too bad and it eases soon for you.

DaenerysT · 22/06/2023 20:27

Yeah my mum knows it’s something I’m after but she isn’t aware I’ve actually started. My parents are always going on at me to hurry up. Like it’s my fault!
I like the idea of not testing early but I’m so impatient I prob will! Hmm DPO 7 so technically you could get a positive tomorrow. how are you going to stop yourself testing? Just try to keep extra busy? No idea what else there is for it really.

I must say I’m very lucky in that neither my parents nor my in laws put any pressure on us. I’m sorry that must be really tough for you.

There are a few ways I’m able to resist testing…

  1. my husband and I have decided to always take tests when we’re both around and look at it at the same time. I thought this was really normal but I’m thinking maybe not?! I would feel super guilty if I did one without him and he’s very good at grounding me with it all. If I really wanted to, of course I could take one but it helps that he asks if I’m really sure.

  2. I’m 37, slightly overweight with suspected endometriosis so honestly, I’m not expecting it to happen. I’m almost going through the motions so that I can say to the doctor we’ve really been trying etc and then get things looked at. I will be in complete shock if I actually get pregnant.

  3. no tests in the house and I work full time, this being one of the busiest times of year so I’m actually so busy, I don’t have the time!!

I can totally see why people do it though and I’ve done two early tests myself in other cycles!! I am already planning my gift to myself for when my period comes. My SpaceNK account is going to take a hammering!!

DaenerysT · 22/06/2023 21:04

Oh wow I’d never do a test with my partner there I don’t think! I think I’d feel stupid if I was testing early. If my period was late I’d maybe do it with him. I also have like three tests lying around so will prob not manage to resist.

should prob get rid of them… or at least not buy more until I need them.

Definitely down with the gifting. I am constantly buying myself presents at the moment. But it’s better getting make up type stuff I reckon than what I did a few months ago when I was frustrated by lack of action. I ate 12 mars Bars in a row. The regret.

starryx · 23/06/2023 09:54

Currently 5dpo
God I really want this to be my BFP month so let's all pray for each other Star
And no I personally haven't told any family at all!!
Avoids me being asked about it a lot

I thought I replied to this but it seems to have disappeared, oh well!

I don’t know why but for some reason I can’t imagine looking at the test without him…maybe we’re weird but I’m ok with it!

Im eating loads at the moment and I’m putting it down to comfort eating in a time of uncertainty. Don’t feel bad about the mars bars, you do you!! I’m already planning a massive aperol spritz for when my period comes 🍹(and some chocolate too probably)

I’m 8dpo and have everything crossed for you. We’re lucky as we don’t get asked about it much, people just leave us to get on with it!!

will you be testing early?✨

starryx · 23/06/2023 10:27

Aw thank you, baby dust to you too!
And no I'm going to resist testing early Smile luckily I have a fairly busy week ahead of me so that will be a big distraction.
Just trying to keep myself eating healthy and being fit so that I can have the healthiest body for my future (or potentially hopefully now ;)) developing baby.

To be fair I have the busiest week of the year for me at work next week so I think that helps. And if my period comes, I’ll hopefully be too busy to be sad for too long.

I’ve been trying to eat more healthily (Mediterranean diet in particular) and cracking on with us much yoga as I can. I’ve found that really helps too with keeping me grounded and distracted!

Yeah I do find eating healthy and just walks are really relaxing. Doing stuff to make you feel happy and find a sort of inner peace really is key.
Anyone else here taking the prenatal vitamins?

I find practicing yoga and mindfulness has really helped me. I’ve also been journaling which I find is really good release.

im taking vit d, B12, vit c, zinc and folic acid. My husband is taking multivitamins.

DaenerysT · 23/06/2023 12:09

I take a pre natal, ubiquinol, omega 3 and psyllium husks. pain in the arse!
I’m only on DPO 6 😫 I want the aperol spritz. And a cheesecake. But yes trying to be healthy and making beetroot sourdough instead.

Preaching to the choir re aperol spritz. Could just have a really weak one? I also saw bottled alcohol free ones in Sainsbury’s the other day. Not quite the same but better than nothing I suppose!

DaenerysT · 23/06/2023 13:24

I think one weak one is prob fine. I’m only being super careful because I don’t know when I will procure another ejaculation

mosiacmaker · 23/06/2023 13:42

I had my first TWW last month and despite vowing I would never be the type to do a pregnancy test before a missed period and would just serenely wait, it did 3 pregnancy tests 😂 but was a lunatic at work and quickly realised I had PMS, so got period. Kind of glad as was sort of enjoying trying and seemed a bit abrupt to get pregnant the very first attempt! But hoping it happens next month or august! Who knows though, I am 33 and many of my friends are really struggling to conceive and having to go down IVF route.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 23/06/2023 14:08

Hey ladies!

Hope it's okay for me to hop on board. Bit late to the party at 9dpo, but would be nice to have some people to see the rest of the tww out with.

I track with LH strips so pretty sure I'm 9dpo. This is cycle 3 ttc #1. I'm over 30 and overweight so not expecting it to happen quickly. I also have fairly short cycles (24-26 days) with a luteal phase of 11 days.

AF due Monday for me.

My symptoms have been pretty much exactly what I would expect pre-AF so far. Nausea yesterday (made worse by the heat) cervical/vaginal pain the last couple of days, bad cramping on 7dpo, CM starting to dry up today.

But I have sore to the touch nipples, which isn't usual for me. Usually I get really tender boobs (which haven't seemed as bad) but my nipples are usually fine, and i usually squeeze them daily each cycle to make sure 😅

The fact everything else is exactly the same as if AF was coming isn't making me super positive and I feel like I have that feeling of just knowing I'm not pregnant, but I know there's still a chance!

Trying to wait til missed period to test let's see if I can last 😅

When is everyone planning on testing?

Hello! I'm over 30 too (about to turn 37 so 'over' by some margin) and am also overweight. I also have suspected endometriosis so feel like odds are slightly stacked against me. Weirdly though I feel the pressure is off a little? Like, if by some miracle I get a BFP in the next few months it will just be an added bonus and if I don't, we've got a plan of how we're going to proceed! That's just me though, I'm sending lots of baby dust your way, hopefully you won't need too much 🤗✨

I don't know if you're trying to loose weight at all but I recently got the Fertility Kitchen recipe book and I quite like it. Also trying to follow Mediterranean diet which I don't mind as it's all the things I like! I have never exercised in my life but took up yoga about 6 months ago and I bloody love it!

I won't be testing unless by period is late. As I'm expecting a negative over a positive, I just don't think I can keep putting myself through it. But I totally get why people do! Not having tests in the house and being ridiculously busy with work helps!!

Will you test do you think?

Crossing everything for you that this is the one. Sounds like a very weak aperol spritz is in order this Friday evening 🍹

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 23/06/2023 16:24

@MrsBP15 nah I think I'll be strong this cycle 😅

I was a maniac with IC first cycle, then better last cycle with a few cheap shop bought ones and this cycle I'm determined not to buy any tests. It's such a waste of money.

OH has ordered me some Frer (arriving Wednesday) for next cycle, so I'll take one at 10dpo on next cycle but this cycle I'm just so sure I'm out I don't see the point testing.

I tend to lose weight naturally in summer. Can't really exercise as I'm almost constantly suffering with heat exhaustion but it kills my appetite a fair bit at least (helps that I need to pratically constantly drink water) 😅

DaenerysT · 24/06/2023 07:26

DPO 7 and fairly sure nothing is happening.

I’m being irrational but feel like progesterone is dropping now as I wasn’t as tired as usual last night nor as constipated this morning.
